Rikki stared back at him incredulously as he replied, seemingly thinking out loud on ways that he could help her. "Um..." she said slowly, starting to smile. "Cardboard and duct tape for the windows...and just don't let me touch anything with water in it, no matter how much I want to," she explained. Then, she laughed. "Wow, you really like to over-complicate things, don't you, Galen?" she joked.
"Fair enough," she added in response to his reasoning for not being weirded out by the mermaid thing. "It's easier back home. Surrounded by ocean...if I get wet, I'm usually within a ten second sprint to a large body of water. That's how long I get. Ten seconds to tail," she clarified.
Looking over at the door, Rikki wondered whether the handle was still going to be too hot to touch. It probably was, she thought. "I think...I got us stuck in here, showboating like that. Sorry..." she said, looking sheepishly apologetic.
