"Like hell," Buffy replied, following Dawn doggedly into the cafe. She took a seat across from her little sister and proceeded to stare her down. This Dawn was so different from the one Buffy knew. She just didn't want to give her anything, did she? Maybe the situation was over, but Buffy still didn't really understand what exactly had happened or if there was potential for it happening again.
Buffy rolled her eyes and pushed the menu aside when Dawn offered to buy. Sure, she was hungry. She hadn't eaten much lately, but she was more interested in what her sister had to say. "Can you please tell me what happened with Ariel? You didn't kidnap her, did you? And what is this business about trying to leave information behind for your younger self to find? It doesn't sound like people like that very much. Personally, I couldn't care less. I think they're freaking out over nothing, but I'm not used to you not talked to me, Dawn. I really need you to.
