It was a little strange to Anatoly to thinking up chess-like strategies in regards to life, but they needed to do this. And he was aware that Svetlana's mind was still chaotic and not necessarily completely conducive to coming up with strategies. But they both knew if they didn't come up with a plan as soon as possible, there was a good chance Molokov would catch them off-guard, and that was the last thing they needed. They need to be strong together, to not let the bastard tear them apart again. Of course, he knew it would be easier said than done, but he had faith in them both and that they could do this. He wasn't about to let himself be torn away from his family again when he'd all ready fought so hard just to get this far with rebuilding his marriage.
As he held onto her hand, Anatoly gently rubbed his thumb against the back of it, doing his best to give her more support, more sense of being grounded. The more he could help Svetlana feel grounded, the more it would keep her from pacing and having another panic attack. He would keep a very close eye on Svetlana knowing that the coming days would be incredibly hard on her. Truthfully, they would be hard on all of them, but it was just one more thing they needed to go through together.
"I agree, chess would be too risky for him here. It would draw too much unwanted attention for his liking." Even if he and Svetlana didn't have a striking resemblance to celebrities in this world, Molokov would still get unwanted attention considering the Soviet Union didn't exist anymore. When Svetlana made mention about Freddie and Florence, Anatoly nodded in response. "His end game will be for us only, and no one else really matters. Though perhaps that leaves us an opportunity to use against him."
Now, while he wasn't outright stating of forging an alliance with Freddie, Anatoly did wonder if they should talk to Freddie. Molokov wouldn't see that coming at all given the history the two champions had. But even so, Anatoly was doubting that he could put aside his differences with Freddie long enough to cooperate with the man. Chances were he might given the circumstances, but would Freddie be willing to not whine and bitch at him long enough to work with him? Anatoly didn't have the patience for that, and they needed to be sure Freddie would even be open to the idea before he made a final decision on it. For now, he just shifted that to the back of his mind and tried to think of who else they could possibly turn to for help them against Molokov because he knew they were going to need some allies to count on.
