Rei was running slightly behind for her date. Her meeting at the school had run longer than she'd expected. But it was all right, she'd texted Minako to let her know she was on her way. She'd managed to stop at home to change into nicer jeans and a nice top, change her jewelry and brush her long hair out, touch up her make-up for a night time look, then headed off to meet Minako at the restaurant. That is, until she suddenly found the scenery around her had shifted. It wasn't that different, but she had been passing a clothing store that suddenly was now a cafe. She stopped walking and looked at it, a confused look on her face. It had been a few years since that cafe had closed. Right, something was weird. Definitely weird. So she went over to the cafe, which had a newspaper dispenser near it. She bought one and looked at the date, her eyes widening.
"Nani?!" She glanced around, suddenly feeling her heart sink. Well, she wouldn't be making it to that date now. Which left her with trying to remember where they'd been on this day to see if she could find Minako, or anyone really. Complex. Yes, that was where they were staying in 2012. And Rei sighed heavily because that meant the Apocalypse was still raging. "Wonderful," she muttered. Running a hand through her hair, she glanced around, getting her bearings before she started heading towards the complex. She hoped Minako was here, either a younger or older version. Any of them would do. Maybe Connor and anyone else she could recognize were here as well.
"Thank you so much, damned Seal," Rei cursed in Japanese. "For the record? I don't appreciate this. I have work and classes to do! And Minako will have my head for not being there without explanation." Shaking her head, Rei kept silently cursing the Seal. She'd gotten used to not going home, and she'd rather preferred being here, but she hadn't anticipated ever taking a ride in time like this, especially backwards. Which meant if the Minako here was still fourteen, that meant she had no knowledge of what they had come to share. Again, she stopped and glared up at the sky. "Fuck you, Seal. Fuck. You." She wasn't prepared to deal with the fourteen year old Minako again, the one that was all about the mission and not much else. She really hoped there was aspirin in her apartment because she had a feeling she'd really need it in however long she was going to be spending here.
