The comment was dripping with sarcasm as Ziva shot Tony an annoyed look, but he was acting very much like himself, so that probably meant that Tony was in fact really there and not just a figment of her drugged up mind. That was oddly comforting. It was strange, when Tony had shown up in Israel, she had been so upset that he had gone and done that. He shouldn't have. Oh, she had made her peace with him, had apologized for not trusting him and being here for... a year? Ziva wasn't positive anymore, it had given her time to move on from what had happened with Rivkin, what had happened in Somalia. Maybe not at the moment given what she was going through here, but still.
"Idiot back up. He wasn't my usual partner who got put on desk duty.... But the agent was... I don't know. Everything got furry before I could see what took him out. He'd been there just... not able to help...."
Shrugging weakly, Ziva winced and scowled in annoyance.
"Pretty certain Booth yelled at him by now...."
Because Booth was like that. She knew he had hated being on desk duty but it seemed that her getting captured and him finding her had given him the permission he needed to not be on desk duty anymore. And then there was the comment on not getting captured alive.
"Apparently that is not something I can control as much as I'd like...." Given this was the second time it had happened, "Still... I managed to kill at least one and the other was injured if not dead as well." True it had taken a week and she'd been tortured and stabbed in the stomach with a two by four in the process, but she still did manage to take the two serial killers down in some capacity.
