Pausing in his tracks Nightwing wasn't even moderately surprised that Batman called him out. He stepped out of the shadows and folded his arms. "Never could actually get the drop on you, it would concern me if you allowed me now." He admitted though his tone remained even. Anyone else and he might have approached more sensitively about the topic at hand, but Batman responded best to the head first technique. "Welcome to the apocalypse." Not even a hint of a joke in his tone or body language.
"By now you've realized this isn't Gotham City. This is Lawrence Kansas, home to demons, Angels, and Lucifer." He watched Batman's own body language now. Really after everything they'd seen was what he'd just said such a far stretch of the imagination? For the time being he didn't say anything else. He allowed Batman to let things sink in for a least a minute, everyone deserved that. Unlike the way he'd arrived thrown right into things. It really wasn't the most kind arrival. He'd only recently begun to accept the fact that they were headed toward the potential end of the world as they knew it.
Looking up at Bruce, he then made a face. He knew what was coming next if he accepted this reality the way it was. He was going to have to explain that code names were no longer necessary and he had damn near had his own panic attack about compromised identities, he could only imagine how Bruce would take it. He'd gotten it from Batman after all.
