"Well I am rather the walking example of irony." Helena smirked a bit. "No, they can't. It is strange, fascinating and wholly frightening on all accounts." Waking up in the 21st Century had been jarring, to say the least. MacPhearson had done his best to give her the best start, but really she'd been left with figuring things out on her own. Television was wholly interesting, as was this internet thing. Being able to instantaneously talk to someone on the opposite side of the world! This certainly was Helena's age, the age she should've been born in.
"She is far stronger than she gives herself credit for." Myka was resilient, and if she'd found it in her heart to move past what Helena had done to her, then she could eventually work through the pain of her death. But here in this moment, Helena was proud of her actions, having died a hero's death saving someone she cared about deeply.
"As would I. No doubt it would also be easier for the both of us to better deal with what is happening here with the others." There had been too much death and loss in their world. Here, she had a fighting chance to remain alive, and there was a chance of being reunited with the others. Though she hoped that if Artie and Pete ever showed up that they wouldn't be as prickly towards her, though she wouldn't blame them if they were.
