"Thought I'd offer as it seems every advantage we can get here would be useful." And Helena would be damned if she let anything bad happen to Claudia. She didn't want to face the possibility of being left here alone, or having someone else from their world show up and blame her for it. And from the looks of things, this place was far more dangerous and unpredictable than their world ever could be. At least artifacts were largely predictable and could be apprehended and locked away. Demons? Not so much.
"Or the building," Helena added with a grin. She wasn't minding the ego boost at all. It was refreshing to be given the credit she was due. That was the price she'd paid for being a woman born far ahead of her time. "That and I'm over this relying on men thing. Men are really not all they make themselves out to be. Neither are women, but women are just better at accomplishing what they set out to do, and they are a far more fun ride to take." The smirk on Helena's face was playful, perhaps even flirty. She rather did like making those sorts of comments that could be taken in more than one way without specifically stating anything. Helena liked to keep people guessing on where her heart lay, though she had a feeling there was one person that knew where hers rested.
