"It is. Those chosen to become agents are chosen for a very good reason." When Claudia pulled away, Helena sat up a little straighter, taking a breath. She looked at Claudia, a soft smile crossing her face. "It seems like it. I wish I had seen it in myself earlier. Maybe things might have been different." Helena was fully aware of why she hadn't seen that about herself before. She'd been far too wrapped up in her own pain, too focused on the things she'd lost in her life to see the good in her. If only she had truly let Myka into her heart earlier, she never would have tried to end the world. If she had let Myka help her heal the pain in her heart, perhaps she could've seen Sykes' plan in time to be able to stop it.
Helena wished Myka was here. She did miss her being around, but she was thankful Claudia was here. Someone familiar to hold on to as she once again had to adjust to her surroundings. There were days she felt like she was drowning in this modern world, drowning within herself, but having Claudia there would keep her afloat, keep her from sinking too far into herself that she'd find herself trying to kill someone or something just to put an end to the emotions she felt too deeply within herself. Not to mention Claudia understood her, understood both the blessing and the burden of having a great mind.
"So, Donovan and Wells, teaming up to save the world?" Helena asked, trying to lighten the mood before one or both of them lost their grip on their emotions.
