Claudia sat there on the couch, pressed into the corner of it with her legs drawn up underneath her as she listened to H.G.'s story. It got worse with every word out of her mouth and Claudia could feel her heartbeat quicken from time to time, especially when she took a pause. She felt like she'd just gotten on a ride she didn't want to be on any more and had no way out of it.
There was so much to take in, and Claudia wasn't so sure she even had a response for all of what she was told. "The future is not looking all that promising, H.G." She muttered. "Is there...is there more to it?"
