Elphaba smiled at Claudia, then paid for the ice cream. "You're welcome. I like treating when I can." After getting her ice cream, she followed Claudia to the table, sitting down across from her. Slipping her coat off, she fixed the sleeves and neck of the turtleneck she wore, covering as much skin as possible. She was still relatively self-conscious from the ordeal she'd been through a couple months earlier, but now the whole Moriarty thing wasn't helping much in her getting over it.
"So now that you know some of the layout, is Kansas everything you expected? Though if really want the open nothingness that is the landscape, you just need to go a little ways out of the city." Elphaba chuckled. She'd flown over the area enough to be familiar with the landscape. Kansas was incredibly...dull. It really was no wonder that stupid little farmgirl had been the way she was if this had been where she'd grown up.
