"Well true, there's always something to keep things exciting." Elphaba agreed. After all, it was true. "I've been here almost a year and a half now. And yeah, it does kind of become normal after a while. After the adjustment period and the first two or three really crazy or horrible things that happen, you just learn to roll with it." Some things were definitely easier to go with than others. Elphaba had, for the most part, gotten over the torture she'd been through a couple months earlier.
She listened as Claudia told her about having been in South Dakota and traveling. "At least the adventure part was exciting? Doesn't leave you wanting for more or anything." She walked along, pointing out a restaurant that was pretty good. "I understand. But from my experience, there's no backlash about talking about things here. Though of course there is the fact that the seal can bring anyone from anywhere at anytime, so just keep that in mind. People from your world could show up at some point, and hopefully not the ones who'd frown on you talking if you chose to. I know I won't repeat anything. I'm good at keeping secrets." She wasn't going to make Claudia say anything if she didn't want to, but Elphaba was putting that out there. Because from her experience, having someone to trust upon suddenly being in this world was a plus. It had kept her from closing herself off completely from people.
