When Claudia came out of the complex, Elphaba turned her attention to the other girl, returning the smile. Smiling, thankfully, came to her more naturally these days. And at least she had something to focus on now other than the eyes she felt on her back. She extended her hand, shaking Claudia's.
"Hello Claudia, it's nice to meet you in person." The question of whether or not Claudia was ready was obvious and went without saying. "Is there anything you'd particularly like to know where it is? Or shall we just go wherever the sidewalk takes us? And if you even say follow the Yellowbrick Road, I may hit you. Fair warning." Elphaba had to chuckle a little. Wizard of Oz jokes didn't sit well with her, for obvious reasons, but there were occasions when she did find them funny, if for no other reason than to poke fun at that stupid story that wasn't even true to begin with.
Before heading somewhere, she'd wait for Claudia's response. After all, there was a lot to see in Lawrence. Though sometimes the whole having plenty to do was very much lacking here. This was Kansas after all.
