The Joker had really been laying low since arriving in this new town. Harley refused to come back to him and that Irish ass Moriarty thought he was in total control of this city and it's dark elements. The Joker would let him keep thinking that for now. He had already gathered quite a bit of a following in the gangs who didn't seem too pleased with Moriarty. Not to mention the usual type of minds the Joker often attracted. Still, he had gathered some money and arms and now it was to make his master piece creation to make this college hick town truly smile.
With some of the students in his gang, gaining access to the science labs would be a simple matter. Luckily, the time that the Joker and his six hand picked members sauntered across the campus, there was no one around. Except for a fool of a security officer who tried to stop them. Poor fool. Though the Joker couldn't risk someone finding a dead body. So a simple knock out beating would have to suffice for now. Then it was back to the task at hand of finding the labs. The Joker pulled the student up and looked at him.
"Which way now Todd my boy?"
"This way boss."
The Joker grinned some and followed after Todd to the labs. It was such a lovely night to create some mayhem. Stopping at the doors, the Joker and others waited for Todd to open the door with his keys. The Clown Prince of Crime noticed the slightly trembling hands and mentally shook his head. Todd was not good material at all. Still, he had a use to fulfill. Hearing the locks slide home, the gang slid into the darkened hallways. Under the Joker's orders they kept the flashlights off and stumbled to the chemical holding room.
"You five, stay out here and stop anyone who comes by. Todd, let's go." He grabbed the several storage containers the five were carrying. The two men entered the room and Joker began looking over the chemical names. He began grabbing various agents, placing them in the storage containers for safe transport.
"Y...you can't mix all these chemicals! The chemical reaction will kill people!!" Todd suddenly exclaimed a few moments later.
"But they'll go out with a smile."
"I...I won't let you, y-you freak!"
"Freeeeaaakkk...." Joker sneered, his eyes growing dangerous. He swiftly moved and slammed a long bladed knife through Todd's shoulder, making him scream in pain. "Davies!" One of the men in the hall poked his head in.
"Yeah boss?"
"Take these cake supplies back to base. I have some things to tie up here."
"Sure boss." The five men quickly picked the boxes up and made a beeline for the exit. Joker turned back to the still whimpering Todd and smirked coldly.
"Don't feel bad Todd my boy. This was always going to happen to you. With the Boy Blunders One and Two here, it wouldn't take them long to track you down and make you squeal about what chemicals I took and how they could counteract my brilliant Joker Gas. Oh Batman knows, but there are several ways to make my delicious concoction and I don't need them finding out soon which way I used."
Joker grabbed Todd by the throat and wrenched the knife out, a sadistic grin on his face at the pleas and begging for mercy. The Joker walked over to some piping and wrenched a piece off before approaching Todd. "I hope there's enough left of your body for them to see that you actually were beaten to death. I want my sweet Jason Todd to get the message. It wasn't chance that led me to convincing you to join me my boy. Your name, Todd Jason Billings. Scratch the Billings, then put Jason before Todd. Viola." He smirked coldly.
A half hour later, Joker calmly walked out of the labs when a sudden series of explosions ripped through the building, fires starting to burn that could be seen through the windows. He smirked, a rush of pleasure at the sounds of the booms as he climbed into a waiting van that sped off into the early hours of morning.
