The idea of an alternate reality puzzled Doreah. She suspected that it was something she would only understand if she’d experienced it herself. It did trigger her imagination into action, though. Everything about Lawrence Kansas was amazing and different and she expected it would only become more so during her time spent there.
People watching sounded like sound advice. Since her trip shopping Doreah had mastered the garb and fashion trends of this society. She could manage sitting on a bench in the park without catching much notice. At least now she wasn’t clothed in Dothraki fashion. She imagined she would be less of an eye sore in denim and a t-shirt.
“A pirate!” Doreah could not help but grin. She had met pirates, though none of them had been women. According to what she’d heard it was a life filled with equal parts peril and adventure. She’d listened to the stories with her full attention so long as the men would speak.
“I have, though not as you have.” She explained in regards to her time spent on the ship. “The crew preferred me to stay below deck so that I wouldn’t interfere in any way, but the waves...” Doreah smiled dreamily, creating a picture in her mind of the ocean.
