Hearing someone say her name, Svetlana's eyes narrowed slightly and she looked up. Okay, the woman before her looked like the loud actress, Maureen was it? But no, she was far more reserved than Maureen, holding back. There was pain evident in her eyes. Even if she'd been hiding it better, Svetlana would have seen it because she did the same thing. Okay, facial features were the same just not green. Which probably meant that this was Elphaba.
Giving a small nod, Svetlana smiled slightly and placed her tea on the table.
"Yes. Elphaba I presume?"
Despite her exhaustion, Svetlana's voice was friendly enough. True, she was still in guarded Ice queen mode, but that never stopped her from being polite. As such, she motioned to the seat opposite from her before speaking up again.
"Did you want something to drink while we talk?"
A slight cant of the head was given at the question. After all, in Svetlana's world, tea solved everything. Well, okay, it didn't solve everything, but it was definitely calming. Perhaps that was why she was drinking it religiously since everything had gone wrong in her life. Was it so wrong? Everyone had things that helped them. For her, it was chess and tea and it wasn't exactly as if she was going to play chess with the other woman unless she wanted to. Who knew if she even knew how to play. Besides, not everyone resorted to chess to feel better, or talk, or to focus. It just seemed the method of operations for those from her world.
