Darcy was excited to have the opportunity to not only get out of the house, but to see Svetlana and the girls. It wasn't that she never saw them, but she didn't get to see them enough for her liking. Beside that, the idea of getting out of the house and taking the boys with her instead of having to waddle around with them still in the womb or sitting at home watching out the window longingly as they slept, was admittedly more exciting than it probably should have been. So, when Svetlana agreed to go shopping, Darcy bundled up the boys in nearly no time flat. KidzBop was still playing on the television when she heard the knock on the door, but already Darcy had taught herself not to hear it anymore. It was easier to tune out than it had been originally and it kept Ethan happy.
Cradling Sammy while she left Ethan on the floor on his blanket listening to the television, Darcy answered the door, all smiles. Pulling the door open, Darcy stepped aside and waved Svetlana and her girls inside with her free hand. "Come on in. Check out the new digs. Not too shabby, huh?" she asked with a smirk.
Today, Darcy was in a really, really good mood. If she thought about it for a second, she might've deduced that Ethan's moods tended to mirror her own. He hadn't cried all day and Darcy had given the credit to the stupid music, but...she hadn't cried all day or even felt like she wanted to. If she'd given it a moment's thought, it might've given her some relief. "Hey there peanut," she chirped at Fayina, closing the door behind the three of them. "And you, pumpkin," she said with a smile as she addressed Jelena and resisted the urge to kneel down to the child's level, if only because with Sammy in her arms, it'd have been really difficult to get back up.
"I just have to get the diaper bag put together and then we can go," Darcy said to Svetlana. "You can sit, if you want. Or, you could hold Sammy while I get Ethan in his car seat..." she offered, in case Svetlana wanted.
