Looking appropriately sheepish, Darcy shrugged. "Nope, not Clark," she confirmed as Kon made his way inside. She chewed her bottom lip slightly, behind his back, when he asked if they'd switched rooms, but decided to latch onto what he'd said next. Either Clark hadn't filled Kon in on their...situation...or...well, Darcy wasn't sure there was an 'or.' "You fried a desk? Nice," she said with a smirk, shutting the door behind him. "Well, if you're out of school for a while, you're always welcome to hang out with me. I've started early maternity leave because I finished my project at work way sooner than I thought," she offered.
Darcy nodded, giving a facial shrug. "You're fine. But yeah, he's at work tonight," she replied. "I'm sorry." But when Kon asked if he ought to leave, Darcy's eyes widened. "No! You're totally fine, sweetie, you can stay," she insisted. "I'm just reading. You want some tea or something? I could use the company," she finished, giving him a small, hopeful sort of smile.
