Who: Sif and YOU? What: Exploring Earth! When: Tonigt Where: Outside of a local Lawrence coffee shop on the streets. Warnings: TBA!
After that rather unsettling discussion with Loki, Sif abandoned the coffee shop as quickly as she could. Everywhere she went, she drew attention. Her outfit of metal and chainmail mesh got her stares from men and women alike. Some wondered out loud if there was a Renaissance fair in town, others seemed intrigued. Her clothing caused her to stick out like a sore thumb even in Lawrence Kansas, a place of regular strange occurrences. Her large spear didn't help with blending either. In that moment Sif did not care about blending. She only cared about getting away from that glowing monstrosity and away from Earth. It was all wrong. Thor was defending the placement of Loki's head and speaking as though none of his betrayal had even happened. Not even Loki would admit it. Of course to Sif that meant nothing, Loki could have been lying. She'd learned over the last few weeks that he was rather gifted when it came to cheating and deceiving.
Earth was colder then she remembered last, the seasons were changing. As she walked down a side walk civilians scattered out of her way. There were so many things to look at she had barely noticed them moving in confusion and unease. Stores lined the streets, many decorated in festive red and orange colors. Some with skeletons painted on the windows or hanging from ceilings as decorations. Her brows furrowed in confusion. What sort of a place was Earth? Skeletons left so plainly in sight. Did they really need to resort to such barbaric scare tactics for protection against enemies, or was she mistaken again? Confusion written on her face, she stopped on the side walk to stare into a cutely decorated office building. There were plastic spiders, cobwebs, skeletons, all sorts of Halloween decorations that Sif believed to be real at first glance. Second glance she began to understand, they were fake. She didn't understand why, but none of the Spiders moved and the little sparkling halloween lights did not flicker like a flame. They were merely an illusion. Illusions were something Sif was tired of trying to work through and figure out.
She turned away from the building and continued on her casual walk through the bustling city streets. Even at night the city had it's fair share of activity. Sif couldn't tell if it was good or bad. The last forty eight hours had been exhausting and Earth was quickly becoming overwhelming. She did not ask to be abandoned or banished to Earth. All she wanted was to return to her Asgard.
