Re: IF YOUR CHARACTER GETS PWND (TEMPORARILY), BRING THEM HERE FOR RUBY BBQ TIMES
Booth had Sam's back every inch of the way, literally shooting down whoever had gotten up to attack them despite his own wounds. He was doing pretty good for a guy without crazy psychic powers and just a gun. But it was taking a tole on him physically. He was breathing heavily as he kept up with the hunter. Mentally he caught himself wondering how the hell Sam and Dean did this kind of thing all the time. But then another hunter would appear and the time to think things through disappeared. Shoot first, questions later.
He remembered when he became that guy. He couldn't pin point it no, but this world had a lot to do with it. It was almost like being a soldier all over again. The apocalypse was the war. Some habits never died. In that compound the soldier in him was taking over again. The trained sniper who stood behind enemy lines and shot hundreds of insurgents over seas. This was no different. It should have been different, the hunters were trying to survive just like everyone else but it wasn't. It didn't matter to Booth. He had a mission and he was going to follow through with it. Even if it chipped away little by little at his own soul with every round he changed out and with every body that fell.
Seconds behind Sam, he heard the shot fired before he saw it go into Sam and fired a return shot at the shooter directly at his head. Out of the corner of his eyes past the hunters crowding them and surrounding them he saw Ruby. It was unnerving to him to see her in that condition, she'd always seemed sort of invincible to him. Sam was strong, but Ruby was a demon.
He tried to push past them as if on auto pilot despite the fact that there were so many it was nearly an impossible chore. He kept pushing forward until a knife from a near by hunter embedded into his leg and sent him heavily to the ground. Dropping his gun he was detained by several of the hunters that had surrounded him and Sam.
