Who: Kon and Allana
What:Kryptonite hunt
When: tonight
Where: the complex, then the city
Warnings: tba!
Kon didn't feel that he needed help, but Allana seemed insistent. Bella didn't have the Kryptonite, but that didn't mean he was going to stop looking. Clark was right. If something like this ever did happen again, someone needed to be able to take them out. Someone needed to stop them before they leveled the city, or worse. He didn't know the limits to his powers. He knew many of them were duplicates of Clarks, but he also had some that his Clark didn't have. Tactile Telekinesis for one. That was all Superboy as far as he was aware. Which only complicated matters. Should the Tactile telekinesis decide that sleep spell was a threat that needed to be blocked, then what was the option? If one of Loki's tricks registered that way, how much longer before they all did? How many people would he hurt or kill that he cared about if it failed.
Kryptonite was the only alternative. Kon would sooner die then hurt anyone he cared for. There were several people in the city that he loved. Clark included. He loved him like a father, or family should even if he didn't express it often, or well. This was his way of trying. Clark couldn't go near Kryptonite without immediately feeling the effects. Kon couldn't either. The way he justified it was that there were two of them for a reason. Clark shouldn't have to endure more pain then he already had. Kon felt was expendable just being a piece of Clark's DNA, and a liability. When others were possessed or altered, they still regained their humanity after the fact. Kon didn't feel so lucky. He didn't know how to explain it, or he might have tried with words, but it felt like a part of him was just missing. A piece of what made him who he was disappeared. How many more mind altering monsters would it take before he became the weapon he was originally designed to be?
It was what set him and Clark apart. Kon was created by scientists for destruction. Clark was something real. A constant reminder of what he could never be. It needed to be him that found the Kryptonite. Clark couldn't die. If it was in Kon's power to ensure that it wouldn't happen, he would do what it took. Including kryptonite hunting.
Standing in the lobby waiting for Allana, felt like an eternity to someone with super speed. His arms folded stiffly he waited.
