Lois had been about to reply to Clark's little cut off comment about not thinking when she heard the rest of what he said. She suddenly looked a lot less pissed off and a lot more embarrassed, with her eyes going wide and face flushing just a bit.
"You know, I should probably go," she started, looking away from Clark, because he probably wouldn't have pointed out his hearing if he hadn't hurt what she thought she had only said to herself. "Yeah, leaving sounds good about now." The problem was that Clark was standing between her and the door.
Biting down on her lip hard, Lois moved towards him, eyes locked on the floor as she planned to just walk around him.
