Clark didn't even appear to be worried about the fact that Lois was digging around through his refrigerator like it was her own. From what he could remember from what his mother had told him, the very first time Lois even visited the Kent farm she had been digging into their cabinets, pouring herself coffee, and acting as though their home was her home without even knowing either of them. It was typical Lois Lane behavior and, for as long as he had known her, Clark really had learned to get used to it. It didn't even phase him anymore, unlike other people who might have been confused or annoyed by it.
"Lois...you're...being evasive," Clark said slowly, looking at her in concern. "Can you calm down on the coffee and alcohol for a second and talk to me?" He took a cautious step forward, trying to make eye contact with her as best as he could. "Please?"
