She was as ready as she'd ever be. Sam would come to the bedroom all ready to be tied down for the blood she'd offered him. And she'd give it to him. Little by little, just enough to sate him until she was ready for the next part. And he would be, it would take time. It would take a lot of hurt and he'd hate her for some of it. She knew that. Like when he lost Dean. The hellhounds were already on their way to Dean, they'd take him. Then Mary would follow, And Adam, and Mel, and Jess, and Booth and everyone else that was holding him back from his destiny. She had so many plans for him, and maybe she could get the angel onside too. He'd thank her in the end. And she was sure his friends would be fine in heaven and then she and Sam would join them. It was such a perfect and easy plan she couldn't believe she'd been so weak before. But it was fine now, she understood everything so clearly. Sam's soul would be safe until the end and then Lucifer would see them safely to heaven. He wouldn't lie to her. He didn't lie. And she could stop holding back on all that darkness. Because the truth was she needed it, craved it like Sam craved the blood. And she couldn't fight it anymore. Why should she have to?

She wrapped the rope around the bedposts like they'd done so many times but perhaps more unusually it was Sam that was going to be tied down. It had to be like this. There was no other way.

The hellhounds Lucifer had given her were doing their jobs. One was already on its way to Dean with orders to wait until he next left the complex and then take him down. Another was waiting inside the house. Out of Sam's way and ready to guard him until she was ready to prepare him further. It had orders not to kill him but not to let him leave either. And there were demons, trapped and hidden ready so she could feed him once she'd left. She'd leave them just close enough that he could break free and take them. Come into his power. Then she just had to convince him once his family and friends were gone that she'd done it for him. For them.

Sam was on his way, she could hear him. Hurried and frantic as he took the stairs quickly, he wasn't in his right mind, he never was. He was never in his right mind when it came to the blood. She had to be quick. Get him tied down before he just jumped her and she got lost in what he could do with her blood flowing through him. She loved it, loved how it felt. Everytime he touched her with his power...

But no, there would be plenty of time for that when she was reeducating the man she loved. It would work out perfectly. It had to.

"Don't lie to me, Ruby," Sam warned her, "please, don't. I'm trusting you and if you tie me up and abandon me here 'cause you think I don't need the blood, I'm not gonna be able to forgive you." It was such a harsh thing to say, but Sam felt it to be true. He needed her. In fact, Sam was pretty sure he'd never needed the blood more in his whole life than he did right now. His desire for the taste of her was stronger than ever before, almost to the point where Sam literally felt like if he didn't feed from her soon, he would roll over and die. He was starving. Was this what happened when he abandoned his need for so long? Was this how it was always meant to be? Did the world intend for him to completely lose it one day, because he had left his hunger so unsated?

He never should have stopped drinking to begin with.

"I'm ready. Hurry." Even though Ruby was supposed to be tying him down, Sam was already leaning in for her. His hands were grabbing at her hips, his gaze firmly fixed on her neck. The sound of her heart pumping the blood through the stolen body perched on top of him was almost maddening, but it was the scent of her that was driving Sam completely up the wall. He had never reacted to Ruby like this before. He could practically feel every bit of the life that was inside that body right now and Sam knew that, if he had it his way, he'd take every last bit of it for himself, all the while sparing none for the woman he was supposed to be love.

All things considered, it probably was a good thing that Ruby was so insistent on tying him down.

He'd grabbed her wrist, and tightly. Holding it in place frankly because she was letting him, though that role would reverse very very quickly if she let it. But her husband didn't trust her not to leave. To tie him down and to walk away. He was half right not to she supposed. With her tiny wrist in his grip Ruby merely smiled, loving the aggression that was finding its way back to him. He'd need that. She spoke softly, leaning back as he leaned forward to get to her neck. He didn't get to have her like that. "No no baby not yet." she told him, "You'll get my blood. Did you think I wouldn't. That I'd get you here like this and then lie to you?" Ruby moved quickly as she spoke, getting him tied up, wrists and ankles both, eventually forcing him to let go of her wrist with the demonic strength she possessed. With a burst of telekinesis she tightened the ropes enough that he'd get out eventually. But not for a while. Not in time to save Dean.

This done, the demon turned back to her husband. It was all perfect, even the feeling of being on top of him like she was. She was supposed to be with him, all the time, guiding him, teaching him. He needed to learn that she was the only one he needed to listen to. Not Dean, not Mary. Just her. Just the demon he'd let into his life so easily. The demon he loved. And she loved him back so completely. So now she just had to help him get back to where he'd been. And here was her Sam, so weak beneath her, tied down and desperate for just a taste of the blood he'd been denying himself for so long. And she had denied him it too. But no longer. She couldn't deny him what he was.

Just like usual, Ruby ran a hand down her own leg to her boot, lifting her jeans leg long enough to unclip the knife hidden there. She wouldn't let him grab the wrist, she'd have to wrench it away. But she'd give him blood. Just like he'd asked for, just like she'd promised. "I don't lie to you anymore Sam, you know that don't you. I don't ever lie to you. So you'll get my blood and it'll make you strong." The knife slid smoothly across skin and Ruby held the bleeding wound just a little above Sam's mouth, holding his head down with just the barest use of her power. It wasn't flowing fast yet, she'd let him sit up if she decided he'd been good enough for more. But he'd have a taste of her, just a taste and then he could have the demon bitches she'd stolen away ready for the slaughter. He'd find them trapped in their hallway once he got past the hellhound. And once the blood seeped into his system properly she knew he'd have no problem at the very least controlling the thing.

That was all to come, She'd check Dean was dead, kill Mary, Kill Jess, Mel, Jules. Adam she might just leave for the hellhounds. But right now all she could do was relish the feel of him. His need for her. She needed him too she thought. There were so many thoughts running through her head but much as she wanted to stay and take advantage of just where he was, she couldn't. Her free hand slid along his stomach nonetheless as she started to move on top of him. Just for a little while.

Maybe she'd let him use the power enough to touch the real her...

She was losing focus, and she knew it. She pulled her hand away to let him swallow the little blood he'd had and let the bloody hand join the other on his stomach. "I told you didn't I?" she confirmed. "I told you I wouldn't lie to you."

She was quick. Smart. Didn't miss a beat when she fastened those ropes around his wrists and ankles, securing Sam faster than he could move with nothing more than a simple flick of her mind. He growled in annoyance, never one for restraints, and craned his neck to the side eagerly, eyes pinned on that sweet spot on her neck that he so desperately wanted to drink from. He could hear the beat of her heart, taunting him, mocking him with the never-ending thump-thumping that Sam wanted to reach out and wrap his fingers around ; he'd drag it out of her, spill every drop of blood, pin her down and drink her dry and then put her back together so he could do it all over again. A wild need bled into his eyes and Sam pushed at the ropes that held him in place, twisting at them in a rush of impatience that was only stilled by the force of Ruby's mind.

She had pinned him. Right down to the head, neck and all. Jaw clenched tight, Sam glared at her, mouth opening to spit out the first negative thing that came to mind right before Ruby slid that knife across her wrist and dangled it in front of him.

She wasn't pressing it to his mouth. She wasn't letting him use his hands. Ruby was teasing him. Yet Sam couldn't not be teased. He wriggled against the invisible hold that had wrapped itself around his neck, wrists straining against the ropes as he anxiously tried to catch as much of the blood that slowly trickled down her arm and fell into his mouth.

The taste was pleasant. It kicked his senses up a notch, it made him feel like maybe he could be stronger and better. Maybe he could be whole again. But it was a lot like picking at a chip when there was a whole mountain of chocolate nearby. It wasn't enough. It was barely an appetizer and if Ruby didn't give him more soon, he'd -

"No!" She'd taken it away. She'd barely given him any and she'd taken it, just like that. Sam swallowed down what he'd managed to get out of her, body attempting to resist everything that held him down in every way possible. The ropes felt like they were loosening a little, but that wasn't enough. He needed to be out now. He needed more.

"That's not...I wasn't -" Sam broke off weakly, anger, desperation, and confusion pushing at him in every which direction, only doubling over when he felt Ruby's hands tracing paths along his stomach.

It was agonizing, feeling her fingers smear all that blood all over his body. Sam gave up pushing at the ropes and groaned, head falling back and eyes screwing shut long enough for him to try and focus on what little blood she had given him. He'd had blood. Blood. And now she was playing with him. Was that what this was? A game?

She needed to go, she needed to get up and go, and soon before the feel of him underneath her proved too intoxicating. Because she'd want him, all wrapped up for her like he was, and she'd tease and she'd have her fun and eventually he'd get strong enough and that would be the end of her. She'd give him a little more. Just a little more, she thought as she leaned forward, pressing kisses against his chest and arching back up slowly and languidly. They'd always so completely equated sex and blood and the demon had to admit she was having a hard time separating the two. "You're a tease, you know that" she told him, lifting her hand above him again and letting more blood drip free. There was a steady trickle now.

"And you know, I'd love to stay here, indulge you, indulge myself in you until we're both satisfied but we both know that wouldn't work don't we. Look at you, you're begging for it. You'd drain me dry and I can't allow that, you'd hate yourself after but you'd keep going, drinking more and more and eventually it'd consume you. This has to be done right." Ruby pulled her arm away and sat up straight for a moment. Her breath hitched at the thought of having to leave, to get up and walk away from the man she loved and needed so completely but there it was.

"I'm sorry baby but this is how it has to be." she told him, letting the wound heal on her arm and climbing off her husband and lover. She stood by the side of the bed for a moment eyes dark and tinged with madness. "I'll be back okay...I just have to fix things. But I'm not gonna leave you empty handed, there's demons. Two of them here, and I'll cut one up all nice for you, the blood. It'll call to you and I'll loosen the ropes soon as I leave. I just have to do something you're not gonna like. I have to bring a few new friends to meet your brother and your Mom." she told him.

"This is who I'm calling Grumpy." she said, petting at an animal invisible to Sam's eyes. Now he's not gonna let you leave but he's under strict orders not to kill you. Orders from the very top. He'll just keep you here. But you can drink. You can drink all you want, they're all trapped up just outside. You'll be okay. I swear. It'll be so much better, then you can have some more of your favorite vintage but you won't need to kill me. Its better, and it'll be just you and me"

The demon lowered her head to kiss her husband just once on the forehead. But she'd have to go now so he didn't try and tempt her back or anything. Because she knew Sam. And she knew he'd kill her to save Dean. "I'm doing this for you, okay? Just remember that, because I love you. I always will. But this is better, this is easier and we can be together forever this way." she told him, backing slowly away from the room leaving Grumpy to guard Sam.

As promised of course she stopped along the way and slit the throat of the begging trapped whore she'd gotten him. There was another demon there. She'd let him have fun with that. Wouldn't be long now till he got free.

She needed to move, needed to hurry. "I love you." she called again, and was gone.

Sam growled at her again, a low, seemingly unnatural sound that he himself barely recognized as his own. He was peeved, he was hungry, and Ruby grinding up and down against him like that, lips teasing at his body only made Sam's need for her multiply and several different ways all at once. He squirmed underneath Ruby, almost laughing as she declared him a tease, voice coming out muffled the second Ruby began to extend her arm his way again. More. She was giving it to him. No more teasing. He'd drink it all. She'd let him drink it all, she would. Ruby knew what he needed. She'd understand that he had to take it all.

He tried to take as much of it as he could, which was - unfortunately - limited to how much Ruby was willing to give him. That wasn't how this was supposed to work. She was feeding him slowly, giving him the slow, steady trickle of blood that was bleeding out of her arm and into his mouth and, while it was better than before, it still didn't feel like enough. Sam missed being able to wrap his large hands around her tiny wrist. He missed the feel of her warm skin pressed against his face as he sucked the blood from her body without anything or anyone telling him how fast or slow he could go.

This was...well. It was pathetic.

And, again, just as Sam was getting started, Ruby decided she was done. She started talking at him, words coming through almost incoherent because Sam wasn't processing her as much as he was processing the thought and feel of her blood, finally breaking into his system and giving him access to that familiar warm that drinking demon blood gave him. It wasn't as warm as he wanted it to be. No, it was more...tingly than anything else. He needed to be running hot. He needed to feel amazing not just a little okay.

This wasn't enough.

"No," Sam protested again, "no, no, no, no, no. You can't leave. What are you doing? You can't, it's not enough." Ruby was already climbing off the bed, though, going on about how there were demons around and how she was going to set him loose later and how she was going to introduce her friends to his family - which was nice, he supposed, it was always nice to have his wife bring her new friends around, even though that had nothing to do with the blood, which was why her talk about those demons tied up in the house was clearly far more important...but wait. New friends? Demons?

...hellhound named Grumpy?

If Sam could have sat upright, he would have in a second. Eyes going wide at the sight of Ruby patting at an invisible creature, Sam snapped away from his blood crazed train of thought long enough to put two and two together. Ruby wasn't right. Something was wrong. She would never bring a hellhound into the house and she certainly wouldn't have left him tied down like this in a house with a hellhound, let alone two demons. Something was wrong. She was wrong.

"Ruby...?" She kissed him on the forehead. When Ruby pulled away, the only thing she'd be able to see was a genuine sense of confusion on Sam's face. Confusion and worry. This wasn't right. It was all wrong. He had to get out, had to get loose - had to get Ruby, before she did something that she'd regret later. Before she did something they'd both regret later. "Wait, you don't have to do that, you don't have to leave! RUBY!"

His protests did nothing to stop her. Ruby turned and walked out that door, a hurried 'I love you' being the only thing that she left behind. Sam squirmed desperately against the ropes that bound him to the bed, needing to get away, needing to find Ruby before it was too late. The sound of the front door slamming behind her made Sam work harder, wrists burning from the amount of pressure and focus that Sam put into trying to rip himself away from the bed.

It took him an hour to wiggle himself out of the ropes. By the time he'd finally managed it, all thought of his family, Ruby, and the rest of the world had been driven out by Famine himself.

It was just Sam and the demons that Ruby had left behind.

Sam, the demons, and hunger.

Sam couldn't help but smile.
