Who? Jaina & Gabriel (possibly featuring guest appearances by Anna and Castiel? Maybe?)
What? Gabe gets trapped in HOLY FIRE so Jaina can talk sense into him without him disappearing~
Where? One of 34646 empty warehouses randomly in Lawrence!
When? Eveningish on the 22nd.
Whyyyyy? BECAUSE.
Rating? Probably not terrifying?
To say Jaina was stressing out a lot right now would be a huge understatement. She was doing her best to keep it under wraps, as far as her Force presence went - although she wasn’t so sure how good a job she was doing, to be completely honest, because the more she tried to suppress it all the more seemed to leak out the edges.
She was sure any minute now Jacen was going to come kick down the door thinking she was being attacked or something equally dramatic. She was going to send him a message to let him know that wasn’t necessary just as soon as she could figure out the words to use to do it, how to explain exactly what was happening. It was no secret that Jacen wasn’t fond of Gabriel, so she hesitated to even mention him to her brother. She didn’t think she could handle it if he decided today he wanted to lecture her about it; it was hard to predict Jacen’s moods, even for her.
It was even harder to predict Gabriel’s moods - how he was going to react when she tried to talk him into sticking around and fighting for their cause, like Castiel had convinced her to do. The other angel had made it sound like it was the only way to save Gabriel - that defying Lucifer, or fleeing, would kill him, but fighting he at least had a chance. She hoped he was right about that.
Gabriel had let her know he was coming a few minutes ago, and she’d broken the wards so he’d be able to get in - but it was taking longer than she’d expected it to. Usually he could just appear wherever he wanted, right? She checked the mark again; definitely broken. She hoped Lucifer wouldn’t take this opportunity to pay her an unexpected visit, and hoped even more that he hadn’t already caught up with the angel she was waiting for. Surely he wasn't going to call time-up <>now</i>, right?
The oven timer went off, and she moved back into the kitchen to get the last batch of cookies out of the oven. She was still having a hard time getting the measurements down, but at least this time she hadn’t made ten pans full, like the first couple times she’d ever baked things - just three. It was a much more manageable amount - she was getting better at all this.
One moment she was in the kitchen, transferring the cookies from the pan to a plate, and the next she was standing in a mostly-dark space, lit by a bright swath of flames. It took a second for her eyes to adjust - normal lighting to dark to firelight - and when they did, she was ...definitely more than a little confused by what she was seeing.
“Gabriel? ...what are you doing?”
