"I thought I was going to be done by the time you came in. But then I broke the handle and the stupid thing won't shut off. " He scowled slightly in it's direction as he nodded toward it, and ran a hand through his still wet hair. It was awkward, more then awkward. "Sorry. I'm usually faster then that. " He offered her a slightly guilty look and adjusted the sports jacket he'd chosen in the blink of an eye. "I can freeze it, but it'll only be temporary. Plumbing Knowledge isn't one of my crazy powers. " He smirked at her and reached out to take her hand, pulling her gently away from the doorway.
"Make yourself at home. It isn't much but I have a couch. So at least that's a start." His bare feet padded against the carpeted floor toward the bathroom where he froze the water and the crackling of ice formation could be heard in the other room. He was going to have to get someone to look at it later, that was lame. But whatever he wasn't really thinking about that. Allana had practically seen him naked and he felt the heat begin to rise on his own skin. Shaking it off, he stepped back into the livingroom.
"That'll fix it for now. Want anything to drink?" He was trying to not think about the towel incident. Clark would be tsking if he'd been there. Fortunately or unfortunately given the way it happened it was only the two of them. Alone in his apartment. He had a girl alone. He should be doing more then just offering drinks shouldn't he? Making a move or something? He liked her, but he wasn't sure if that was where they were headed just yet. Or if he should even be thinking about that. God why were girls so complicated.
Cassie had been easy. She made the first move. Made it much easier on him. Allana was different though, in a good way. He couldn't say she was his normal girlfriend but he could say she was more normal then Cassie and her freaky God backed powers. Ares backed her abilities. giving her a whip much like the Lasso of Truth Wonder Woman possessed. But that was another story for another day. He wasn't ready to talk about his last girlfriend, besides it probably wasn't the most appropriate new almost-girlfriend conversation. So he just looked away and waited for her reply as he headed into the kitchen for the beverages.
