Who: Booth and Kitty
What: Booth is tied up and not in the fun way.
When: today!
Where: Bones' apartment
Warnings: grumpy Booth is grumpy

He was gunless and cuffed with his own handcuffs. It was a little humiliating and more then a little inconvenient when Bones left for work and left him computer and phoneless. He wasn't allowed to check on Sam, or allowed to check the boards, he had no idea what was going on in the outside world save for what Bones told him. It was more then enough to make him go stir crazy. She'd left him several things to do of course, she wasn't entirely cruel, despite his current mindset thinking it was cruel and unusual. She'd taken him out to dinner the one night then brought him back to her place only to lock him up and refuse to free him. At first he thought it was a joke. Then the hours ticked by and he realized she really wasn't letting him up. She'd left for the lab, and left him behind sitting on her bed. He wasn't even having fun with handcuffs. It was just handcuffs and lonely boredom.

Booth wasn't sure what Bones expected him to say or do to get free, he was wracking his brain for the answer. But his brain was getting tired. He could only handle so long of silent meditation. He got bored. It was worse then sitting in Sweets office waiting for him to say something. Nobody was there, so he pulled open one of her drawers near her bed and picked out a science book. The human skull. It was thick. Too think for someone to have bedside for light reading, but it was Bones after all. So he thumbed through it. She wasn't there to let him out of his handcuffs, and day time television really was too terrible to bother turning on. So he flipped through the pages and tried to read a paragraph out loud. "The human skull. This medical illustration shows an anterior view of a human skull. This anatomical artwork was created by medical illustrator Alison Schroeer of Schroeer Scientific Illustration to show the bones of the human head." Booth made a face. Leaning over to her drawer he pulled out a pen and circled the word anterior. With a line connecting to the spine of the page where there was a small space to write, he jotted down; Ten dollar word in scrabble. Next to the word anatomical was another note. Bet this guys only friend was the dictionary. Another next to the end of the paragraph; Squint.

He flipped to another section and pulled out some papers of another paragraph and left her several more fun phrases to find while she read her book of impossible words. Booth didn't know how she did it. She was a genius of course, but how did even geniuses not fall asleep with books like the one he held laying around by their bed. Or was that why they kept them there? Were they even secretly bored of it and used the book to help themselves fall asleep. After he wrote on a few of the pages, he got bored and closed the book. Leaving it on the bedside he laid down on his back. His strangely colored socks showing, his white suit buttoned down to his tank top, and slacks still on. After dinner that night with Bones he'd planned on going into work, instead she'd told him he was taking time off and it wasn't a request. But he wasn't allowed to go home, and thus was stuck in most of his work suit. He sighed and felt the empty gun holster by his side in annoyance. Even the one normally strapped to his ankle was gone. Bones had left him unarmed and he felt naked without his weapons. Uncomfortable Booth and Bored Booth were two dangerous personalities to let free.

Booth was an idiot. No, seriously. He was an idiot, a bona fide idiot. Apparently his friends and emotions were involved he stopped thinking. When Bones had told Kitty what Booth had started saying and thinking about after what happened.....well, Booth was acting like a crazy person. What sane person thought they were that invincible. Kitty just couldn't get over how dumb Booth's thoughts had been. She was actually glad that Bones had tied him up. It was going to keep him from doing something stupid. He had a son that he needed to worry about over his friends. He needed to keep calm and think things through more!

The fact that it seemed Booth needed a babysitter was pretty ridiculous. His son was babysat half the time. Kitty was definitely going to point out some of these things to Booth. Evidently she had somehow become the go-to babysitting gal. She didn't mind, though, not too much anyway. Parker was adorable and Kitty liked to spend time with him. She definitely cared about the little bit, but she cared about his dad too. Booth had become such a good friend; Kitty could depend on Booth no matter what and she knew that.

She was going to babysit her friend, her older friend. Kitty supposed that there were stranger things that she could do. She was willing to check up on him, and keep an eye on him. It would keep him safe and keeping him safe was important.

Kitty didn't bother to knock or open the door to the apartment. Instead, she walked through the door and directly inside. As she walked in, Kitty looked around curiously. Bones' apartment was much different from Booth's. It was pretty different from her's too, actually. "Booth! I'm here to babysit you!" Kitty called out, peeking around, until she finally walked to the bedroom door and peeked through it, seeing him. She couldn't help but giggle.

"Well, I see you're all tied up."

Bones' place was much less decorated then Booth's. She was geared more toward practicality then design. Booth was obviously wanting comfort when he had his design in. He was ungodly bored in Bones' place. She had science books and calculators, and even a few random skulls that were obviously not real but made him a little wary none the less laying around. One was on her shelves she had in her place, and another by her bedside lamp. They were obviously to help her with cases, but if those were by Booth's bed? He would never get to sleep.

He was discontent to say the least. Being tied up was inconvenient. He felt like a child, and completely felt ridiculous. Finally after what seemed like a century since Bones left for the lab, there was a voice on the other side of the door. A voice that said annoying words that made him glare when Kitty finally did look inside. "Not funny." He wasn't in the mood for jokes. Bones had him captive by her bed with his own handcuffs. "Tell me you brought the key, do you know how much these things chaff?" His brows furrowed moodily.

The science book he'd bothered to crack open and doodle in was a testament to his boredom. "I should be at work right now. " He scowled and his jaw set grumpily. Pulling at the handcuff uselessly to demonstrate just how uncomfortable he was, he looked up at Kitty with a thin lipped frown. " I could be solving murders right now and helping Sam. "Sam was what got him into this mess in the first place and he still didn't seem to get it. Sam was not the right answer to get him out of his predicament.

"Can I at least get up? Look. No phone, no guns. " He held up his hands in attempt to convince Kitty to unlock the handcuffs. "She didn't even leave me my guns.." He trailed off uncomfortably.

Kitty couldn't blame Bones for what she did. She was trying to help him, and he didn't seem able to get it through his head that he was being an idiot right now. Still, the situation was a bit funny. Kitty couldn't help but be grinning right now, even if the decor of the apartment was a little strange, Booth in this situation was still funny.

Walking the rest of the way through the door, Kitty took a look around. She just barely managed not to get weirded out by the skulls on the shelves. Kitty knew Bones was a doctor, but still....pretty weird. Focusing on Booth, the tiny mutant girl couldn't help but snicker. "It's so funny, and you know it." Kitty didn't answer his question right away as she looked around before approaching the bed. Then she tilted her head and grinned. "If I told you that I'd be lying. I don't have the key. Don't know how much they chaff either. Handcuffs can't really be kept on me." She said with a shrug, seeing how moody Booth seemed to be. Really he deserved this.

The small woman looked at the open book on the bed and her eyes automatically went to the things that Booth had scribbled in the margin of the book, then she looked at him, more than a little annoyed by his words. "No, you shouldn't. Because apparently you want to do some really stupid things, Booth. That means that you're exactly where you should be." If this was the way he was thinking about things, Kitty wasn't likely to let him out. "You can't help Sam, not with the things you had in mind. I get that he's your friend, but Bones was right in what she did." Kitty said before she sat on the bed, looking at Booth.

She didn't really thinking letting him out was a good idea. "I guess the answer depends. Do you plan on behaving or giving me trouble? Because if I let you out and you try to take off....I'll stick you in a wall, or the floor." Kitty said, crossing her arms. "You don't need a gun, Booth."

It seemed like whenever Sam was involved his logic went out the window and he didn't understand the consequences to his actions. In his eyes, Sam was one of his best friends. He would do anything it took to help him even if it meant having a friendly little chat with Lucifer. It wasn't like Lucifer had to help him after all, if he did it would have been his choice. Booth didn't have the power to force him to do anything, so he didn't see the harm. Bones did. She'd locked him up in her apartment like a scolded puppy, and Seeley's mood matched his current disposition. Sour.

Normally he liked hanging out with Bones. He would sometimes even go out of his way to find her after work and have a post case drink, but as it stood now he would do anything to be apart. He didn't want to be looked after like a child, and frankly felt insulted. "Whatever." He sighed and rested his cheek on his arm. "It's the only thing I can do to find Brady. " He stated, a slight air of defeat written on his features. " We had a deal you know. Me and Sam." He hadn't told anyone about the deal they'd made. Bros before hoes and all. He wa a firm believer in that, but Sam had virtually betrayed him and the code. Forever.

"I'm not going anywhere..and you're wrong. I always need guns. I don't feel safe without them. You have your phasing thing, Sam has his hunter stuff, guns are mine. Without them what am I?" He relied on them heavily. A sniper without a gun was like James Bond without his many disposable cars. It just wasn't right.

Kitty didn't really care where Booth's mood was at the moment, if she were honest. After finding out the stupid stuff he was ready to do he got exactly what he deserved. If he couldn't think through the consequences of what he was trying to do, then he didn't need to be left free to do whatever he wanted. He'd do exactly what he had contemplated doing; Kitty didn't doubt that at all, Booth was the kind of guy that did exactly what he thought was best even if it was stupid. So, the fact that he wasn't thinking things through in this situation had him getting exactly what he deserved. He was basically grounded, and he really deserved it, actually.

Kitty rolled her eyes at him saying whatever. Wasn't she the one that was closer to teenage years here? Kitty looked up to Booth in many ways, not just because he was taller either. He was a good guy, he was a good friend to have too. The small mutant rolled her eyes at Booth's words. "You don't get it, Booth. You're not thinking things through because your friend is involved, for one. And for two sometimes the best thing a friend can do is be there for the friend, as in being there for Sam and not trying to run off and be dumb. Brady can be taken care of later, I think Sam's wellbeing matters a whole lot more." She pointed out. "What deal?" She didn't know what deal but if it involved Lucifer she sure wasn't going to support the deal.

Kitty looked at Booth and a big part of her didn't believe him. "No, you don't always need guns. You're on a safe place, you're not going to have to defend your life here." Kitty pointed out, uncrossing her arms. "And without the guns you're still a lot of things, Booth. You're still a good dad, a good friend, and a lot of things." She'd take the chance for now, but if he tried to go anywhere he'd end up stuck somewhere that he wouldn't be able to get out of. She reached out, grabbing his arm and phased, letting the handcuffs fall through his arm so that they were off.

"There, but I mean it. Don't try to go anywhere or I'll stick you in the floor or the wall."
