WHO: Lavender Brown and OTA WHERE: A park WHEN: May 2, 2011 | 6:45 am WHAT: Lavender arrives back in Lawerence! And screams here head off. STATUS: Incmplete RATING: TBA
Lavender was vaguely aware how cold is was, and she squirmed where she was lying. It wasn't comfortable, that much she knew, it felt like she was sleeping on the floor. Keeping her eyes closed she tried to remember what had happened, when had she fallen asleep?
Then everything came back to her - the battle, and those eyes those horrible, horrible eyes. There was a sensation of falling, like something out of a nightmare. And pain, red hot pain, which was so bad she wanted to throw up. And there had been falling and...people in white robes. There was a faint soft voice telling her everything was going to be alright and then...no, this all had to be a bad dream, a very bad dream. This is what she got for going to sleep on an empty stomach and listening to Neville give them a status report.
Her eyes snapped open, and she sat up suddenly. She had been lying on a park bench. From the looks of it, it was early morning, and she was freezing. She glanced down at her self and saw she was wearing a very simple cotton gown that barely went down to her knees. No shoes, no socks, no coat - nothing else.
Lavender glanced around widely. She didn't recognize this park - where was she? Had she been kidnapped? Were there Death Eaters lurking somewhere, oh Merlin had they lost. Or was she...dead? The thought hit Lavender like a rock and she almost fell back onto the bench.
She pinched her arm. "Ow!" she gasped. Then she noticed her other hand. Grasped so tightly in it her knuckles were white was her wand. At least that was something, some sort of luck - because her arm definitely hurt.
She swallowed hard and tried to stand, but her legs were shaking so badly, she ended up on the ground. Where the bloody hell was she? Lavender was scared. So scared she began to cry. As the tears fell down her face, her left cheek began to sting. Horrified Lavender lifted her hand which wasn't holding her want to her face to touch her check - when she drew her fingers back, she forced herself to stifle a scream. Her fingers were red.
Lavender began to whimper and touched her cheek again, feeling the imprint of two very deep gashes that went along most of her cheek and down her neck and past the collar of her robe. She pulled her hand away, furiously wiping the blood off on the robe's hem.
Now she wasn't holding back the tears, now she really was crying. She had no idea where she was, she had no idea how she got here, she had no idea where her friends were of if they were okay. What if they had lost, what if they were all dead?
Then Lavender screamed. She screamed loud, the loudest she had ever screamed in her life. She screamed so loud her throat hurt, so loud her head hurt, and her chest hurt - but she couldn't stop. She couldn't stop screaming.
