Isabela had never really given much thought to the things in her world. Why should she? She'd had a ship and if she was on land and something bad cropped up, all she had to do was raise the anchor and sail off. At least on the open ocean all she really had to worry about were storms. The one that had caused her ship to wreck was no different from any other, and if she hadn't had the Qunari Dreadnaught on her tail firing their canons, she might have been able to have kept her ship from wrecking and kept most of her crew from losing their lives. But just because she didn't really give thought to the dangers her world posed didn't mean she was a coward. She would definitely stand and fight if she had to, but she did prefer to cut her losses and run. "Do they? Well, I'll keep that in mind while here. I know I don't like things sneaking up on me or suddenly popping out of no where."
Lauren's description of the woman controlling the bugs was strange. For the sake of relating things in this world to things she knew from hers, this woman's appearance would be akin to a demon. "Oh brilliant, so not only is she weird looking, but she's a loony." Isabela shook her head a bit. Why did so many people have to be crazy? "Really, who lets these crazy people out? They all need to be locked up somewhere where they can't hurt anyone but themselves." While Isabela favored freedom for everyone, when it came to crazy people she did think they should be locked up. Or at least kept from doing mass harm. "That makes me feel better that people actually know what they're doing. Please tell me that people here actually go out and do things themselves, they don't make other more competent people clean up their messes. I'm bloody tired of cleaning up other people's messes." That last statement really was hypocritical, since she'd left a huge mess in Kirkwall when she'd run off. She trusted that Hawke could kill every Qunari if need be, but it was Isabela's mess and she'd left it for Hawke and the others to clean up.
Torn seals, now that was a concept that was somewhat familiar to the pirate. It sounded a lot like the Fade being torn and allowing demons and ghosts to cross into the mortal realm. "I'm glad there's a simple explanation and that it wasn't done by forbidden magic or something." She chuckled softly, knowing any Templar that got pulled through this seal would be absolutely horrified and would scream blood magic until they couldn't scream anymore. She kept up pace with Lauren, paying attention to the route they traveled. Isabela liked knowing her surroundings, mostly so she always had a quick exit if needed. "Perfect," she replied with a smile. Once they were inside, she could relax a little and hopefully get some more information on this world.
