Being in another place that suffered from crazy wasn't Isabela's first choice. In fact, it wasn't even on her list of places she wanted to be in. But when it came down to it, she couldn't complain. She seemingly didn't have to worry about Qunari hunting her down or Castillon sending more men after her to either kill her or apprehend her. And she didn't have to deal with any of the crazy things Hawke seemed to get in to. Playing mercenary was one thing, but tracking down blood mages? Fighting Abominations? Varterral hunting? Those seemed to be in Hawke's job description. Though Isabela really had no idea just how crazy things could be here.
"Giant bug-like things, giant spiders, Qunari, blood mages, Abominations. I've fought a lot of non-human things. Oh and Darkspawn. Those things are horrid creatures of pure evil." Isabela had many reasons to hate the Blighted things, and she'd been forever lucky she'd left Denerim before the Darkspawn horde attacked and decimated it. "There's a lot of things in my world. Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Qunari. Dragons, Varterrals, demons. Other various monsters. Can't say I know what a vampire is, but werewolves and ghosts are in my world too, although rare. And according to mages, ghosts only really appear in places where the Veil is torn." Not that Isabela had vast knowledge of the Veil between this world and the next, but the Fade certainly was a strange realm. She was sort of glad that she wasn't a mage. Dealing once with a demon on the demon's home turf had been a very bad thing for her.
Listening as Lauren explained about the bugs, Isabela was a bit relieved. Well that was good. At least it could be assumed these bugs would be killed off sooner or later and they wouldn't have to deal with them again. This she could live with. "So there's some crazy bug-like woman running around here? She look like those ugly buggers?" Because of course, she'd steer clear of the woman, or anything resembling an over-sized bug, until this was put to an end. "Well, at least everything's going to plan. I do hate when a plan falls apart." Sometimes Isabela didn't have the best of plans, and sometimes she didn't exactly work out all the kinks. So she could appreciate when things did go according to plan. "So this seal thing. I'm assuming someone, or something, tore it, thus allowing people like us to end up not where we intended to go?"
