Lauren laughed as the woman told her she was used to crazy. "Used to crazy is going to serve you well here, believe me" Lauren told her as they walked. She seemed to have a fair idea of how to react in a situation as entirely unusual as this one. And the least Lauren could do was get her to the complex and help her settle in. It would do some good she thought. And maybe that was what she was supposed to do here. She wasn't a fighter, so maybe she was just here to help. Do her part. When she wasn't freaking out over blood at least. She hoped the woman at least felt welcome here, or not completely terrified of the concept of being where she was.
The Bugs...she didn't know how to explain it any more than she had but Isabela's comments about giant spiders almost made her thankful for the bugs. Giant spiders would be so so much worse. "So you're used to this kind of stuff, giant bugs and all that?" she asked curiously. "My world doesn't have anything like this...just vampires and werewolves and ghosts and stuff like that" she explained.
"The bugs aren't native no. They got dragged through the seal same as us, only some crazy woman called them here. They're her family so she says. I don't really understand that bit." she told Isabela. She had to admit though she was more than happy that Isabela could fight and was willing to as well. Lauren had no claims on being a fighter, especially when she didn't have blood in her system. She'd be so much stronger but so much more dangerous. It was probably for the best if they were attacked that she leave it to Jacen and Isabela. She'd just...stay back and hope to god no blood spilled. "He's fairly strong, and you're a fighter too so thats good. We'll be fine though all going to plan. Its not far to the complex at all now and then you can talk to who you need to talk to about fighting these things or whatever else chooses to bite us in the ass."
