Isabela was surprisingly calm despite everything. Sure, she might just freak out later with all the technology differences between this place and the one she came from, but that was for another time. Her years at sea had taught her much, especially how to handle herself in the face of others. Well, sort of. Isabela could still be brash and off-putting sometimes, especially since most of her conversations ended up being little more than metaphors for sex, or just out-right talking about sex. But Hawke had put up with her, even understood her, which had been surprising. There weren't many people Isabela could call a friend, and there were even fewer that she'd even dare to call a friend. Giving a nod and a little smile as Lauren said they'd get to the complex, Isabela felt reassured by that. At least someone knew where they were going! Even though she'd been stranded on land for four years, she still felt really out of her element. She felt itchy and needed to get back on the open water. Perhaps Lauren would know where the nearest port was.
"More like I'm used to crazy," she replied with a chuckle. She followed Lauren closely, keeping her senses on alert. A rogue like her didn't get very far if they dropped their guard. "And thanks, I've been in some strange circumstances in the past, what's one more?" At least the Qunari weren't here, or at least she hoped they weren't. Things would get so much stickier if they were.
Keeping up the pace Lauren set, Isabela listened as the girl explained about the bugs. "Oh brilliant, giant bug things trying to kill people. Reminds me of something I encountered where I came from. Big giant bug-like thing with four giant legs and arms. Nasty bugger to kill, but better than the giant spiders." Isabela noted the bag of medical supplies. Well, that was certainly different. If Anders was here, he could just heal people right up! "Oh good, I'm glad there's someone keeping an eye on us. But in case we encounter anything nasty on our way, I can take care of it." She wouldn't hesitate to do the fighting if necessary. "So are these bug things native to this place?" Because of course the pirate would want to know if she should plan on facing these things anywhere she went in this place. And it was necessary a question before she asked about getting home or even where she was. Survival did tend to override such things.
