When Lauren made her presence known, Isabela turned around, though her defenses were down for the moment. After all, the girl had spoken first and not attacked. Well, at least this girl seemed to be normal and native to this place. "A mystical seal? Now that's something I haven't heard before. And believe me, I've been enough places and seen enough to believe almost anything." She smirked a bit, unable to help but look Lauren up and down. She wasn't judging, she was more curious than anything. The girl's clothes were very strange to her. She'd never seen anything quite like it, and she'd seen a lot of different clothing styles in her travels all around Thedas. "Somewhere safe sounds positively great right now."
Isabela wasn't stupid, she knew it was better to get somewhere safe before getting an explanation about how she'd gotten here and just where she was. As Lauren introduced herself, Isabela smiled. "I'm Isabela, formerly Captain Isabela, but after getting shipwrecked the title rings a bit hollow." She gave a little bow, the satchel on her hip shifting a bit. It was probably an amazing feat that she didn't fall over because the Tome of Koslun she carried in the satchel was large and heavy. "Lead the way, and don't worry about sounding mental. I've had some friends that sounded like that a lot. Always running head first into trouble and dragging me along with them." There was a very faint tone of regret to her voice since she knew she'd dragged all of her friends into trouble that was much worse than any trouble Hawke had gotten her into.
But there was no time for regrets right now. She had to focus on following Lauren to safety. She glanced around the area, taking in the appearance of everything. The buildings were unlike anything she'd ever seen before. And what were those large things with four wheels? They certainly didn't look like any cart or wagon she'd ever seen. Were they like the Dalish landships? She'd have to investigate that later. She glanced at Lauren and waited for her to lead the way. This was one time when Isabela didn't mind taking a backseat since she didn't know how to get around this city.
