Well, sure hair tossing was a girl thing, but Elphaba wasn't like other girls. She never had a reason to be girly. When she wasn't with Nessa, she'd always had her nose stuck in a book. Books didn't judge her like people did. Books didn't call her names. They allowed her to forget herself and learn things.
There was something to what Elena said. She was supposed to be smart. She generally was smart, except when she was drunk. She looked at Damon, then couldn't help but smile, something she'd also been doing a lot more of due to the alcohol. "You'd do that for me? Well, you're just like a big cuddly teddy bear! Or something!" She then grinned and moved to try and hug the guy again, of course forgetting all about Elena's earlier look of warning.
