Graverobber steadily followed Shilo with his eyes as she walked into the McDonald’s. This was funny, he thought. Not so long ago he had been showing her the ropes, revealing the dark underbelly of the world she’d been locked away from. Now it was her helping him, providing proof that they had indeed been taken from their homes and put in the middle of something he didn’t yet understand.
“Well, this is an interesting development.” He shook his head at the paper. Yes, this was indeed a world before his time. Undoubtably it meant that he would have to do some unpleasant adjustments. On the plus side, though, this meant that GeneCo didn’t exist. If GeneCo didn’t exist then he didn’t have to worry about Rotti’s cops chasing him down for his multiple offenses.
