Luke had been doing his best to avoid certain people from his universe, namely Jacen, but he wasn't totally oblivious. He saw the messages on the boards, he just really didn't want to get involved while he was still sorting his own feelings out. Well, at least that's what he should have been doing. Instead, he mostly just sat in his apartment, sometimes meditating, sometimes practicing the things Yoda had taught him. Luke was becoming a hermit, very uncharacteristic for him, but he really needed to be at peace with himself before he could face people like Leia on a regular basis.
Anakin was really the only person he had any normal interaction with. It was strange to him how quickly he'd opened up to his nephew, but he could sense that bond through the Force, even now. And it was that bond that pushed him to want to help Anakin in any way he could. Even if it ended up with him being a punching bag during training or being a quiet listener. The smile he was greeted with was painful to see, but Luke wasn't fooled by the boy's outer appearance. He could sense all the emotions raging within Anakin and if Anakin couldn't get ahold of them soon, he would implode.
"I'm ready. Did you have an exercise in mind?" He'd of course brought his lightsaber with him, he never left his apartment without it. But he was still trying to discern whether Anakin would be better off trying to talk or doing some training to try and vent some of the emotions. Whatever Anakin would choose, Luke's demeanor and Force Presence made it clear that he would listen if Anakin needed him to.
