Kitty had been freaking out about her powers a lot lately. They were gone and she had some new and pretty freaky ones. Whatever she had going on was really powerful and kind of scary, if she were honest with herself. She was trying not to let them freak her out too much, though. She was trying not to worry about her own powers and who had them as well. She'd been so stuck on her powers that she hadn't kept up on her friends and how they were--so she'd changed that tonight. She'd gone through the boards and caught up on what was going on. Unluckily enough, after that she managed to see Caroline talking to a drugged up Hardison. That was worrisome, actually. She was a demon at the moment and that meant danger as far as Kitty was concerned. She was worried about her friend, so it only made sense to jump in and try to get her to leave Hardison alone. It was for that reason that she decided she needed to go check on him too.

He seemed pretty damn out of it. Kitty couldn't help but be a little bit amused, he was drugged and everything. At the same time his common sense had gone out the window. Someone had to look out for him. Hardison tried to look out for her that was for sure. When she'd acted stupid over Mike (though she was still kind of doing that without meaning to), and when she'd needed someone to talk to too. Hardison was a good friend to have. He needed people to look after him at the moment, Kitty could pretty much tell that. So, after getting him to tell her what he 'needed' Kitty set out to go check on her friend. And yes, she had orange crush and candy in hand.

Kitty didn't take long to find out what room was his and headed directly there. Only...when she walked into the room that was Hardison's....he wasn't there? Brown eyes were staring at his bed. She looked around and then walked to his bathroom, knocking. "Hardison?" She waited a few moments and when she got no answer she began to panic a bit. Was she scared? Hell yes! She was afraid that Caroline had come and got Hardison already! She had a lot of reasons to worry right now!

Hardison was having the time of his life. Unaware that it was Zuko's powers that he had received, he had thankfully survived his initial encounter with them and managed to retain only second degree burns. They were still pretty serious which was why he was still at the hospital, but the hospital was kind enough to give him drugs for the pain.

Thankfully, they managed to suppress the firebug in him, but had the bonus side effect of making him act like a complete mental patient. He still had his intelligence and he still manged to steal things without people noticing, but his common sense was completely gone and he wasn't keeping track of the comm boards as well he should have. Because then he might have realized Caroline was a demon now and talking to her was a bad idea.

If anyone came to check on him right then, they wouldn't have found Hardison in his room. After telling Caroline what he liked, he had been challenged to a wheelchair race by Mrs. Robinson down in 233. If there was one thing that Hardison didn't back down from, it was a challenge. So off he had gone, completely forgetting that Kitty had said she was going to come for a visit.

It was only after the nurses had broken up their wheelchair shenanigans, that Hardison returned to his room to find Kitty searching his room. He watched silently from the door for a few moments, before he shouted, "BOO!"

Kitty was pretty afraid that something had happened to Hardison. She had a really good reason to be afraid. Caroline...well, she was so far from herself. Normal Caroline was NOT a person that behaved like this. Kitty didn't know her that well, but she knew that she wasn't evil. This wasn't normal Caroline.

Kitty was about ready to take off and find Hardison and Caroline. She couldn't help the heroic tendencies. She felt like she had to help her friends. She felt like she had to protect people. Being who she was and from where she was....she couldn't help it.

Just before Kitty started to turn around she heard a resounding 'Boo' and it caused her to let out a squeak and twirl around quickly. She was pretty ready to fight, but realized quickly that it was Hardison. "Don't do that! Where were you?"

"Hee, were you scared? I was just down the hall, racing Mrs. Robinson. Did you think the bathroom ate me?" Hardison asked, wheeling himself over to where Kitty was standing and hugging her legs. He wasn't kidding when he had told Abby he liked hugs. "Because it did. Try to eat me. The nurses don't believe me, but how do you explain...OH HEY IS THAT ORANGE CRUSH?"

He grabbed the bottle and hugged it to himself. "Oh my sweet precious. Come to daddy!" He pawed at it with his bandaged hands, though he completely failed in opening it. The bandages were so thick that he could barely feel pressure on them. The only reason he could type was because his fingers were sticking out of them like some kind of demented finger puppets gone wrong.

"Kitty, open it for me?" He asked, holding out the bottle. "I'm afraid that if I use my Fire Lord Pinja Master powers on it, it'll be destroyed." There was a pout in there somewhere.

Kitty lifted her eyebrow at his friend and couldn't help but snort. "You startled me, I wasn't scared. And I wasn't sure where you were, hence worry, duh." Kitty told her friend, deciding that while he was drugged up that wouldn't be the best time to mention the demonic Caroline. It sucked that Hardison was so hurt, but Kitty knew he'd heal, he was in the place he needed to be right now. Giggling a little when Hardison rolled over to hug her legs, Kitty just grinned. "The toilet tried to eat you..." She repeated skeptically before nodding. "Yeah, you said you wanted some." Yup, he was definitely a bit different drugged.

Watching him hug the bottle of orange crush, the small mutant couldn't help but be glad that he was safe. Not only that, but find him incredibly adorable. She wished that she had a videocamera. But she managed not to make one appear. That was progress. Kitty didn't really like these new powers because there were way too many surprises.

Kitty nodding, taking the bottle. "I've got this. What else are friends for?" She teased as she twisted the top off of his orange crush, snickering lightly. "How about no using those fire powers at all, firestarter?" She teased before holding the bottle out to him.

"I can't," he said, frowning down at his hands and then holding them up to show her how they were bandaged. "I CAN'T!" He sounded utterly defeated that he could actually summon his Fire Lord powers right then, but the second he could, he had no intention of listening to Kitty's advice.

Fire powers were for burning things down. That was a true fact.

It was then a nurse came into the room, tutting at Hardison and grabbing the back of his wheelchair. "Alec, I told you to go straight back to bed. What's got you upset this time? Is it the bathroom again? Because I promise it won't try to eat you." She smiled down at him, while Hardison went from upset to cheerful in three seconds flat.

"I'll go to bed if you tuck me in, Nurse Hottie," he said, laying on the charm as well as he could while drugged. He fluttered his eyelashes at the nurse, who was old enough to be his grandmother.

She laughed at him and turned to Kitty. "I think it's time to sleep for Casanova. You can come by tomorrow during visiting hours if you like," she offered with a smile.

Hardison perked up, looking at Kitty. "Yeah! And bring more Orange Crush!"
