Melinda was having an issue with this guy at the moment. He couldn't seriously think that the way he was hitting on her was going to make her interested in him at all? If he didn't realize he was coming off as more than a little weird there was a reason to worry. She wasn't getting through to him thus far, or at least she didn't think she was getting through to him thus far. He'd laid that special brand of charm that he was sporting on pretty thick. Melinda was used to some pretty weird shit, but this wasn't the usual level of weird. This wasn't demons or things attacking along with magic. This was a weird guy that was hitting on her, so it was a whole different brand of wonky. She didn't even know if he was a human, so she couldn't treat him any different, really.
She did know one thing. If he got way too weird it wouldn't be a problem for her to just get up and walk away. Surely he wouldn't follow and if he did...it'd only be too easy to freeze him to get away. Not that that was the most mature course of action. If she had to it'd happen, though. Not that she was preparing for it. Nope, she wasn't getting ready to do that. Though, if he scooted any closer to her he was probably going to squish the hell out of her.
She took the hand he offered and shook lightly. "Melinda." She told him honestly before tacking on, "And you know if you scoot any closer you're probably going to crush me, right? Personal space, you know?"
