Parker knew that his dad had an important job. He knew that his dad fought criminals and put bad people in jail. His dad was awesome because of it. Parker knew that dragging his daddy away from work really sucked, but the principal had been set on calling him. HE was in trouble because he was the one that got caught. No one had even batted an eye about what had been going on with Davy and Phillipa. That was the part that sucked. Poor Phil kept getting picked on by the butthead. Parker walked with his dad out to the car and automatically climbed in when the reached it, looking at his daddy. Parker nodded. "I remember." It brought a smile to his face, at least his daddy would listen. He'd get why he did it. This was why daddy was the best.
Parker was starting to feel less and less guilty about his dad getting called. The teacher and principal had acted as if he'd done something horrible, but he'd been standing up for his friend. Parker grinned wider as his dad nudged him and then nodded a bit. "Well, Davy has been picking on Phillipa he's been pushing her down and being mean and she told the teacher on him but the teacher said that she didn't see nothing so she couldn't do nothing and she didn't believe Phil." Parker started, obviously shocked that someone with authority wouldn't do more than that. "And Phil's been upset 'cause he's been picking on her and she's my friend and you're not supposed to shove girls you told me that and so when he tried to pick on her and push her today I pushed him and then he pushed me back and we started pushing each other and I pushed him onto the ground and the teacher came over and I got in trouble." Parker told his story and he'd told the truth! He looked at his daddy hoping that he'd say he'd done the right thing.
Parker lit up at the possibility of seeing Hardison and those guys. "Yeah!" He nodded excitedly and was genuinely feeling much better. "I like that idea!"
