Sitting on the floor in the middle of the apartment's small living room, hands resting on his knees and eyes closed, Leo looked calmer than he felt. It wasn't the first time since he'd received Piper's text that he had tried to sense Prue. Each time he tried to stretch a little more, trying to pick up on his sister-in-law and charge. Something wasn't right, aside from the obvious. He couldn't sense her but it felt more like he was unable to connect. The only clear presence he could sense was Piper's and she hadn't moved from the kitchen.
Opening his eyes, he ran his hands through his short brown hair and stared blankly at the wall. Aside from using his Whitelighter abilities to help try and find Prue, he'd gone out to look. Neither was yielding any results and he had hoped Piper would have better luck. If what he was picking up on was anything to go by, she hadn't. Something had happened to Prue and not knowing what was hard. Twice as much for Piper, he could imagine. Not only was it her sister, but a sister she had lost, only just slightly ahead in a future Leo had been pulled away from.
Rising to his feet, he left the apartment and headed down the stairs towards the kitchen. He hesitated in the doorway, his wife in the middle of a spell. Leo leaned against the doorway, arms crossed over his chest, waiting patiently. As she finished, he waited for a sign that the spell had worked, but none came. "She's not," he said quietly, pushing away from the door frame. "We'll find her." He stood behind her, wrapping his arms around her and resting his chin on her shoulder.
