Who: Meg and Ruby
What: Sister-Demons have a chat
Where: A downtown warehouse.
When: 21st of January - Late Evening
Rating: TBD
Status: In Progress

Ruby really really had hated the whole sin business. Because of it, Sam had drunk her blood, and she had allowed it in a crazed desprate attempt to keep his mind on her. And it had most certainly done that, and now, once again she'd packed her soon to be husband off to detox himself. Away from her. Because much as he'd been doing better, he was addicted to the blood flowing through her. It was awful. But he'd get better, between his willpower, and Epiphany's potions, she knew he could do it. But there was other things she had to focus on while Sam was focusing on himself. There was Azazel, and an arrangement with Crowley that needed changing if he was willing to trust in her. She wanted the Colt, she needed to get it to the Winchesters and have them do what needed to be done. And then there was Meg. Ruby during her time under Envy's influence had trapped her sister demon and left her there, safe, as she had assumed from getting to Sam. They'd been flirting with Sam of course infected by Lust. And Ruby had her knife back. It had been used to kill Pride, again, which she had to admit pleased her, but giving it to Dean had been a wrench, and a gesture of trust. Having it back where it belonged was a nice feeling.

But she wasn't going to kill Meg. No, she had another plan for the knife much as she knew people would be bothered by the fact she had Meg where she could do them all a favour and kill her and instead wasn't going to. Ruby had been no better than Meg once. She'd killed just as many people, enjoyed it just as much. And had it not been for Sam Ruby would still be that demon. So she'd talk to Meg, demon to demon. Explain what she'd learned, what other demons had learned, mentioning no names. She owed Crowley that. Then she'd break the trap and Meg could do what she wanted. Attacking her wouldn't be a good plan having the knife and all. Meg knew it as well as she did.

She'd trapped the demon in a warehouse. Indoors at least, it seemed crazy her had done Meg that much courtesy. Though she was pretty sure Meg would be pissed either way

"Long night?" she asked, moving into the warehouse itself and stopping a few feet from the edge of the trap. "If its any consellation I'm no longer infected, all the sins are dead or back in the pit and I'm not here to kill you." That might have been the suprising bit. "We need to talk Meg, do I call you Meg..." she asked curiously. "...Seems to be what you've stuck with lately"

Ruby had only some idea of where she was going to start with this. Meg seemed to have ironicly enough taken the idea of Lucifer to heart. Ruby supposed he'd been very convincing. She'd expect nothing less from someone like that. And she didn't know why she was bothering to try the talking thing except that she'd been given a chance. She'd fallen in love and it had saved her life. And sure, maybe Meg wasn't going to fall in love. But she deserved a chance to hear the truth, and Ruby's proof of it. She'd find a way to prove it if only because of her conversations with Lucifer over the internet. Strange a concept as that was.

"Oh stop laughing" she told her first, rolling her eyes as she moved to sit outside the trap. "Lucifer's using you" she said simply watching Meg as she stood up inside the trap. "He hates demons, almost as much as he hates the humans because think about it, we're the worst side of them. Twisted and broken souls. Ruined by hell. Think about it, He's an Angel, he's one of them and pretty much to a man, they hate what we are. He made us as a mockery Meg and because I got a chance to see the truth, that's what I'm giving you. Because you deserve that, cause in spite of everything, we're...whatever, family."

"I can even prove it. And no, I don't expect you to ever play with the good guys. You're a heartless bitch. But you could do without being a lacky. You deserve better"

She glared daggers down at Ruby as she spoke, actually listening. The words were getting through and swirling around her mind. No, it wasn’t possible. An angel, yes, but Lucifer wasn’t like the ones in Heaven. Unlike the feather heads up there, he understood them along with all the pain they felt. The street went two ways at times, too.

“You speak so ill of him, yet you’re right there with us whether you like it or not.” Her faith in him that he’d get his way was still there and as obvious as ever. “And believe me, when he gets his way, you’ll be the first to go so don’t give me that.” Stubborn as ever, Meg furrowed her brow. Ruby could’ve used a brick to smack her around to make it sink in and it still wouldn’t.

The comment to prove it earned her a sneer. “Oh, can you? Funny. How could you possibly do that? Last time I checked the books, you were a lacky yourself before scurrying off.” Deserving better was one thing she could agree on with her though, even if she wasn’t about to say that out loud. Meg thought pretty high of herself since she was one of the more loyal ones.

She had known from the start it wouldn't be easy, Meg was just as fanatical as she once had been and it had taken so long for her to change her mind. And it had been only Sam that had gotten through to her, Sam and then her discovery of what Lucifer truly believed of demon kind. So yeah she spoke ill of him. "I speak ill of him cause I know Meg. I know the truth about what he is and the things he's willing to do to get his way. Demons are nothing to him, just tools. He said I was impressive as they went because I'd broken the mould but he still hated me. Because I was a mockery of something he despised anyway. I'll say it again, he hates humankind and we used to be human, we're humans with all the good memories and good feelings torn from us on the rack. We know that. So think about what he must think of us"

And Meg was wrong. Ruby was different now, she wasn't right there anymore. She was stronger and better now because of Sam and what his love had gotten her. By all rights she should have sent Meg back to hell. Or killed her. But she found she couldn't, Meg was family and maybe, just maybe she had a shot at seeing things her way, Crowley's way. It would do her some good.

"He's talked to me about it. I can send you those conversations after I let you go, cause I'm letting you go today. I probably shouldn't and I'll probably regreat it if you don't see the truth someday. But I'm gonna do it, just this one time because you really are the closest thing I have to a sister in spite of everything. Just give yourself a chance not to be just another sheep. Please Meg"
