Sam knelt down beside her, scooping the chocolate from her hands. He tipped the package back and forth between his fingers before he set it aside and wrapped an arm around Ruby's neck, pulling her toward him for a deep kiss.
It was so easy now. Just to give in to what he wanted. Before he fought a lot. Protested, felt weird about everything that they were doing. He couldn't be happy, not beyond those moments where he finally let himself engage Ruby for what she could give him. A brief escape. Now it was more. Memories that he could look back on fondly and not feel terribly ashamed about. Sam placed his other arm around her shoulders, pulling her closely as he continued to kiss at Ruby heavily. It didn't take him terribly long to ease her down onto the blanket spread out beneath them, fingers digging into her hair while the other roamed the span of her body. Her skin was warm and soft, protesting the cool night air. Ruby didn't have to worry so much about freezing, however. Sam planned on making sure that she stayed heated.
