"We might not see each other for a loooong time," Sam pointed out, "it'd have to be really impressive to really leave an effect like that." He was kidding. Sam didn't even need to be impressed by anyone tonight to make him miss her when he hit the road. Having someone to run to when he couldn't stand being holed up with Dean and that wrenching feeling that there was nothing that he could do to make his brother the way he was supposed to be had always been a comforting thought when they were here in Lawrence. That much was going to change quickly soon enough, something that Sam wasn't quite sure how he was supposed to react to quite yet. He'd gone hunting with Dean before, but he had become so reliant in Ruby that he had almost forgotten what it was like when it truly was just Dean and himself out in the world alone. It'd be an easy thing to remember when they got out there. After all, it was how they had been living for the past several years. And with the way that things were lately? It seemed to be a lonelier journey than ever.
"Uh." Sam glanced over his shoulder cautiously. "You sort of lean back a little." He turned backward again so that he was in his former stance. It was sort of awkward looking, but it worked. "Not too far back or you'll fall, but enough to give yourself a little sway as you push yourself backward." He gripped her hand and gave it a very slow and simple try. "See? Try it."
