Booth's plan apparently had worked. In the morning when he left the cell phone for his kid, he hadn't wanted to wake him up. He knew Parker liked surprises, and he hoped he was going to like that one the best. He would have been lying if he said he was completely upset and disheveled about Parker being with him. It wasn't very often he got to have time alone with his son. And it helped that the kid practically idolized him. But it also put some pressure on Seeley's shoulders that may not have been there before. He still had a complex to lead, he couldn't just turn his back on them even though Parker was now his number one priority. But if it came down to a decision between them and his kid, his kid would always come first. So just maybe he was a bit of a liability to lead, but he hadn't brought it up just yet. He would kill to make sure Parker was safe, and not regret it even a little.
When the boy came running in, his features automatically brightened and he knelt down to lift him up into his arms. "Hey, alright. Now you got one just like dad right. Now, whenever you need me I'll be right there all you have to do is call me. And the FBI is all yours pal. I'm alwayshere for you. Don't you forget that. " He grinned as he put him down and nudged him toward a chair. Seeley was about to see where Lavender was when he decided since he had the time, that he would hand make them lunch. He could cook without burning the place to the ground, and so he grinned. "How about I make Mac and Cheese and we can have a rootbeer. "Normally Booth didn't let Parker have soda two days in a row, but it was a kind of special occasion. Or sensitive occasion. He had some serious things he needed to speak with him about, but right now all he wanted to do was have lunch with his son.
"Did you like Hardison the other day?" He asked him as he started rummaging through Lavender's refrigerator. He found a couple bottles of root beer and uncapped one for Parker. Putting it down on the small table top infront of his son, he uncapped his own and took a drink of the cool liquid. It was nice after a long day of frustrations. "How about after we eat, we play catch."
