Rating: TBD

"You can't catch me!" Parker squealed at his friend, running. He was in the middle of a rather ferocious game of tag with another little boy at school. His legs were moving as fast as they could. He didn't want to get caught, after all. Unfortunately for Parker, he didn't realize that one of his shoes was untied. It was classic. Parker's shoelace managed to get in the way and of course he went down. Automatically, he shut his eyes and threw his hands out. It didn't really hurt or anything! So, of course the rough and tumble little boy scrambled right back up. Only...he wasn't on the playground anymore. Where was he?

"Matt?" He looked around confused. This place looked lots different. It was really weird! How had he gotten here? Looking around Parker didn't see anything that he'd seen before. His school wasn't there. His playground wasn't there. His friends were gone? Was he dreaming? He was pretty sure that he wasn't dreaming! He'd been awake, he'd had waffles for breakfast! Scratching his head in confusion the little boy bent down and tied his shoe, biting his tongue lightly in concentration. Bunny goes around the trunk of the tree and then....through the loop and pull! Grinning triumphantly, the six year old boy stood back up and shivered a little.

Well, he was going to figure something out! His little feet automatically started marching, until he saw something that might help him! There was a man! He was wearing a jacket like his daddy had! Parker could clearly see the yellow letters on the back of the man's jacket 'FBI'. His daddy worked for the FBI. Maybe like the nice police man he could take him to his daddy. Parker didn't want to get in trouble for leaving school or anything, even though he hadn't...

Marching over to the man, Parker reached up and grabbed his sleeve, tugging lightly. "I'm lost." He said plainly, looking up at the tall man. He wasn't smiling, but he was staring at him. "My daddy is in the FBI too." Parker shared, hoping that the man would take him to his dad just like the nice police man last time.

Hardison was doing recon work that day for a job that he was hoping to bring to Eliot and Parker in the coming week. It still felt weird to pull jobs without Nate or Sophie around to make sure they didn't get in over their heads, but the three of them had been rather successful criminals before the team had formed. It didn't feel the same without Nate there to tell them that they were going to steal something utterly ridiculous and impossible, but Hardison was doing his best to recapture the spirit of team comradely he had developed with these people that he considered his family. In the event that Ava did kill him for looking like the man that had murdered her, he wanted to pull as many jobs as he could in the meantime.

So that meant he had to don a FBI jacket and credentials that would have stood up to some of the most paranoid scrutiny. His recon work required the disguise and that disguise meant dressing like a Fed. It wasn't a new disguise or anything either, having donned this sort of outfit with Parker in the past. While he wasn't totally comfortable dressing like a good guy, he looked the part.

Enough so that apparently lost little kids felt like they could come up to him.

"Er," he said, looking down at the child in front of him. What was he suppose to do? He tried to recall what he had seen on television and the words came flowing out of his mouth. "Okay little buddy," he said, crouching down in front of Parker. "What's your name? We'll go find a friend of mine and he'll help me find your daddy." Already he was thinking about how he woud probbaly have to talk to their pet Fed at the complex about this. Because there was no way in hell he could go to the real police about this without blowing his cover.

Parker could remember the one time that he had wanted to spend Christmas with his daddy. Of course, he had kind of done something bad that time. He'd walked up to a police man on purpose and told him that he was lost. After he'd told the man that he had told him that his daddy was in the FBI and he'd been taken right where he wanted to go--to his daddy! Parker was a smart child, which was exactly why he had walked up to the man in the FBI jacket. Parker recognized those letters. He knew that his daddy worked for the FBI and he hoped that the man could take him to his daddy. He liked to spend time with his daddy anyway.

Looking up at the tall man, Parker reached up and scratched his face. He was confused. As the man spoke to him, Parker rubbed his nose a little. "Parker. Parker Booth. My daddy works for the FBI." He said, hoping that the man could take him to his daddy. He didn't know how he'd gotten away from school, but he didn't want to get in trouble or nothing. He hadn't left. Last thing he was doing he was playing tag with Matt. This was WEIRD!

"What's your name?" The little boy asked curiously, with wide eyes.

Hardison had a lot of foster siblings when he had been growing up. His Nana had a big heart and even bigger house for all his foster brothers and sisters and Hardison had learned early on how to take care of kids younger than himself once Nana had straightened out Hardison's wild ways. But that didn't mean he knew how to handle other people's kids.

Especially when they were the Fed's kid.

A queasy feeling started in his stomach at the realization of who this kid belonged to. He had watched enough of Bones to know that Booth had a kid and he kicked himself for not recognizing Parker earlier. "Agent Booth?" He said, the surprise still colouring his voice despite it all clicking in place now. "I actually know your dad," he said with a smile, suppressing the urge to add, 'He'd probably like to throw me in jail.' "We work together sometime. My name's Hardison, little man. How about we go back to my house and I'll call your dad to pick you up from there? He lives nearby."

He couldn't actually take him to the FBI building because then he'd have to start to lie rather creatively and the complex was further away than his house. It was better to get Parker away from any demonic possession now and then have Booth bring over another amulet for his son later.

Parker didn't even have a clue. He didn't realize that he'd walked up to someone that wasn't an FBI agent. He didn't even realize that anything was off in the least. He was just a little kid. Parker was never really aware of how uncomfortable he could make some people. He was a little kid!

All Parker knew was he wanted his daddy.

Parker grinned wide as the tall man said the name that Parker had heard lots times when others had been talking to his daddy. "Yeah!" He nodded, he wanted to see his daddy. He'd probably have to go home fast, but seeing daddy always made Parker happy. The little boy blinked as the man said he knew dad. "Really? He's the best." Parker said as he started to nod. "Okay, Hardison. You got a weird name." Parker said honestly as he tilted his head. He was a little bit confused. This didn't look like where his daddy lived. "Are you sure you know my daddy? This don't look like near where daddy lives."

Parker had no idea. He didn't see why he shouldn't trust an FBI man though.
