Tenel Ka had trouble getting her mind around all of this. Jacen had done more than he had done to her in just her time. There was more after that more after ht took their child. He killed her father. That was a big deal. That was her father. The way he spoke about it was so frank. Looking at him, hearing his tone, Tenel Ka could tell that he was holding back any sadness that he associated with what he had done. She was glad. She didn't need to know any of his guilt. He deserved it, and he deserved to bear it alone.
If one thing that could always be said about the Hapan Queen was that she was always calm, she always had control over herself. She had to listen to the information that he had because it was in her best interest. He was answering questions that she wanted the answers to. The answer wasn't exactly what Tenel Ka had thought she was going to get, though. The redheaded woman tilted her head slightly before straightening it up, deep in thought for a moment. "Hm...so we've been brought here with no pattern to help in a war that has been going on longer than this civilization and we all have a part to play, but don't know what part that is.... This isn't logical. If we all have a purpose and a reason to be here we should at least be told. There was obviously no thought as to how this affected us at home either." She obviously wasn't happy with this.
There were so many of them that seemed to have been taken too. The fact that there were so many of them was just strange and to her it didn't make sense either. They all had responsibilities at home. She had done nothing that was a great wrong, and she was sure that her daughter had done nothing of great wrong either.
Blinking at Jacen's words, Tenel Ka shook her head. "I can stand having you around so long as you keep yourself under control."
