This place was strange. There were salt lines, there were demons (different kinds of demons), angels, and so many things that were different. That didn't mean that Jacen was completely different. Of course, she knew that he wanted to be different. That much was obvious. He admitted that what he had done was wrong, but did he actually understand that. Did he realize the magnitude of what he had done? Tenel Ka wished that her thoughts could turn away from Jacen.
The other thing that was at the forefront of her mind was Allana, but that wasn't much better. Tenel Ka didn't know how to be the mother of a teenager, honestly. She didn't really know the teenage girl that had been so terse with her via the communication boards. Of course she was able to understand that it was her child. It didn't make it any easier, though. She hadn't even gotten the chance to go through the situations that were supposed to lead her into being the mother that she turned into. She had gathered enough to know that she had sent Allana to live with the Solos after faking her death. She could only assume that she had thought that was what was best for her child. She would always do what she thought was best for her child, she knew that much.
Between Allana and Jacen the Queen Mother found herself unable to really focus on anything else. It was hard for her to make herself focus on other things. Those were the two most important people to her. The woman was composed thought, it was natural for her to keep herself composed. Even in a situation such as this she was holding herself together somehow. Upon seeing Jacen that composure was almost thrown out the window. Seeing him brought a mixture of feelings. She felt disappointment, love, anger, and so much more. She almost wished that she didn't feel all of this right now.
Giving a slight nod of her head as he said her name, "Jacen." He wanted to be called Jacen. She still knew Jacen...was there somewhere, a darker Jacen, but Jacen nonetheless. This was more difficult than she had thought it would be.
"If you'd rather we can." How long was he going to stay? How long did he have to see her? How much did they have to talk about? Did he realize how hard this was? She didn't know the answer to any of the questions running through her mind. Then there was the fact that she couldn't seem to look away from him.
