“The Apocalypse,” Buffy replied. “Something about seals being broken and it bringing people from all sorts of worlds here,” she paused. “Fictional ones too. There are people from Star Wars here.” The explanation thing was always more a Giles and Willow thing, Buffy was the action person. “We’re in another dimension…Sunnydale doesn’t even exist here. Oh and it’s 2010.”
Buffy wasn’t sure if she was relived or not about Sunnydale not existing. It meant less work on her part, she didn’t have to worry about a Hellmouth. But it didn’t exist. There was no Sunnydale High here, no Principal Snyder, no Bronze…no her mother. Buffy wouldn’t admit it out loud but she was really starting to miss her mom. She missed Sunnydale in general, even though it was small and only had one Starbucks, she really wished she could go back there.
“Puppet demons,” Buffy repeated, her eye brows rising. “That’s a …new one. I always thought the Muppets were creepy – not that you’re creepy, ‘cause you’re not. No creepiness from puppet An…” She cut herself off. “Yeah, Willows here. I’m sure she could come up with something.”
“The Kansas thing? Not too sure, maybe some twisted version of the Wizard of Oz? There is a family here, the Winchesters. This is their world, I’m sure they know something,” she paused, remember the future when Sam had been a vessel for Lucifer. Maybe that was why? She wasn’t about to mention that though, there’d be a time and a place and someone who knew bigger words to fill Angel in on that later.
