Front Door Team
This was what she was used to - fighting, having a team and a plan in mind and her brother’s mind linked to her own... and okay, he felt kind of different than she was used to, but he was still Jacen, familiar enough to help her ignore all the ways that this was actually nothing at all like what she was used to. The missions she’d been on had never involved demons... although she wasn’t entirely sure if they were better or worse than the Vong.
She shoved that thought and the associated memories away, clearing the connection with her brother so nothing would really be a distraction. Her lingering frustration with Gabriel was pushed back, too - his refusal to help them, even though he’d have been able to properly kill the demon instead of just send it away, kind of stung; she’d expected better. And she really pointedly wasn’t thinking about how maybe Jacen was right not to trust him....
Yeah, not thinking about any of that.
Jacen’s signal that he was moving in had her turning to look towards Sam and the rest of his team, nodding in her own unspoken signal that it was time. Her lightsaber was in her hand, and she lit the blade as she raised a hand, a quick Force-push sending the door flying open so everyone could rush inside.
