WHO: EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THE RESCUE OF HERMIONE AND HARRY
WHAT: RESCUING. And fighting and stuff.
WHEN: Around dusk, 11/30
WHERE: They've tracked down Hermione. That's where they are.
WARNINGS: Violence. Language. Angsting. Etc.

NOTES!: Sub-threads are not only welcome, I encourage them. Perhaps one for the front door, one for the back, one for reserves, and one for Ron/captives/Azi/however that bit's set up? If others are wanted then GO FOR IT. I encourage this very, very much.

Also, if your pup commented to the post, or didn't comment to the post, and wants to go, just say they showed up and we'll handwave and say they got fitted into a team at the complex.

And since there's like five thousand pups that may be tagging in, can everyone tag their pup names onto the post when they tag in?

The list is here.

The sun was just beginning to go down for the night when Adam put sent out the word that it was time to get together and get his girlfriend back. And Harry, of course, but Hermione was the one that was first and foremost in his mind. Adam was determined to get her back. The otter patronus she sent him hadn't left his side since it arrived and, thankfully, it was going to be the thing that led them directly to where Hermione was being held.

They gathered at the complex and sorted the teams out, then made sure everyone was good and equipped before they set out. There were going to be three main teams. The reserves would stay out of sight unless they were needed. There was a team, the team Adam was on, hitting the front door. He knew better than to try to be on the team sneaking around to the back with a patronus with him, so front door it was.

The front team would be connected to the back door team via Jason and Jaina, who could do some kind of awesome mind link thing. It was going to be handy. And every team had at least one local demon expert on it.

Adam had put a lot of thought into this plan, and took hints from other people as he went. He was going to do whatever it took to get Hermione back.

Tonks wasn't particularly keen on the business of her friends -- her younger friends -- being in danger again. Especially since, for Tonks, it had merely been a week (as long as she had been here) since they were in danger the other time at the Department of Mysteries. While yes, they had been in danger before and would again by the looks of the posters for the movie that was released, the young Auror still had it in her mind to help.

It was why she was pacing with the team that would hit the back door, hair a darker shade of magenta and in normal punky sort of cut. She liked short hair, especially when working; it meant that it wouldn't get in the way. Looking about to the others, she studied them briefly while flexing her fingers over her wand. While she didn't know any of them, she had seen their reactions in the community area. She knew that they would be just as determined as she was.

A particular smile was flashed at Rose, who apparently was Hermione's daughter. "She's a firecracker, your mum." Said quietly as they waited for the signal.

Jacen could sense his sister in her group with the younger Winchester brother, she was ready to go and there was no sense in waiting any longer. Sending her the message that he was advancing. He'd go first, turn their attention away from Adam and what he was doing and be the distraction. He liked to think he was good at being a distraction when he needed to. He cast a glance to Dean informing him without words that he was ready to move. The rest of the team though...he knew they were all good at what they did but it was the girl. Rose Weasley, younger than Tenel Ka of course but the Hapans aged incredibly well. She looked identical to the Hapan Queen. Perfectly identical. It was more than a little disconcerting in his opinion. And he didn't want her here. He didn't want her in the fight but if she was anything like her doppelganger there was no way she'd listen since it was her mother and uncle in there. And if she had the same glare he was altogether done for.

That glare could level ministers and moffs to quivering weaklings. And he'd never been able to resist it.

He couldn't let the similarities affect him. That would only cause trouble in the fight. So he kept his gaze fixed in front as he started to move. They'd said all sorts of things about demons inhabiting innocents and Jacen could sense some of them, shaking and lost inside the second colder darker presence. Those he would try to subdue. But some...some he was just going to fry. Those that were altogether lost, gibbering messes, not fit to live any longer. It would be a mercy.

They wanted a distraction they'd get one, he thought with a grim smile as the red bladed lightsaber activated and slashed through one of the several demons in the room.

They had their distraction, and as the rest of the team moved into the fight, Jacen told Jaina to have her team advance.

Rose was lucky. She came from a world where most of the bad had been solved. She'd heard all of the stories about her Uncle Harry and her parents. She knew all about the war. Knowing about it wasn't the same thing as having been through it herself. She had reason to be worried. Rose had never been someone that had been involved in hands on conflict of this sort. She had more than enough knowledge to be of use, but whether or not she had the ability to jump in and use what she knew was a different matter all together. Defense Against the Dark Arts wasn't even her favorite subject. She favored potions, but that wasn't something she needed to factor into what was going on. Her mum was in danger. Rose would do anything for either of her parents, especially now. Sure, they weren't the parents that she knew, they were younger, but they were still the same people underneath all of the things that were different. Rose would do anything for her family, even if sometimes she came off as if she wouldn't.

Rose had her wand at the ready. She'd been going through all of the spells that she knew since she'd found out that her mum had been taken. She knew that she was capable of a lot, but nerves were a factor. Part of her felt as if she needed to live up to the greatness that was her parents. Rose wasn't sure if she could, but she was damn well going to try! Not only was her mum in danger, but her uncle was as well. Rose didn't want either of the two to be hurt. Even though she didn't know enough about this world, or what was going on yet, she had to be a part of what was going on. She had magic, she could be a damn good distraction. Rose's hair was flying every which way, she hadn't bothered to attempt and tame it as of late, it was low on her priority list.

Rose blinked in surprise as Tonks spoke to her, giving a slight nod. "Yeah, she is." The words were probably meant to be comforting, but Rose didn't feel it at the moment, as focused as she was on what was about to happen. She didn't quite know everyone around, but she knew that they all wanted to save her mum and that was enough for her. Moments before Jacen made his first move Rose sucked in a breath and re-situated the grip she had on her wand. She had to be ready for this. She wasn't going to be useless. She was Rose Weasley. She was the daughter of Hermione and Ronald Weasley and she could do this.

Jacen moved and Rose was honestly shocked by the...weapon that he had. She'd never seen anything like it. The studious side of her wanted to ask a plethora of different questions. Though it was difficult, Rose pushed her interest in whatever it was that Jacen was wielding. Instead she focused on not doing anything dumb. Lifting her wand, Rose tried to push back thoughts of potions and anything that had to do with healing, and tried to focus on the here and now. Seeing some...thing coming her way, Rose raised her wand, hissing out, "Impedimenta!" It effectively slowed what was coming straight at her. So far so good. Moving further in, Rose was trying to be diligent, but it was a little difficult to watch her own back. At the moment things were okay, though. She was trying to just use simple spells that wouldn't do too much damage. She didn't want to make a mistake.

Jo was trying desperately to keep her mind on the situation at hand, when a part of her thoughts keep returning to Dean's words. Maybe if she had let him come, drunk or not, Hermione would have been found already and Harry would never have been taken; they wouldn't be doing this, breaking into Azazel's lair, a mission in which it was likely that many of the people with her would die. She herself might even die....again. She couldn't help but think that maybe Dean had been right, and if anyone got hurt tonight, or died, it'd be her fault, because she wasn't as knowledgeable or an experienced Hunter like Sam and Dean.

Her thoughts also wandered to Chuck, back at the Roadhouse. He'd been acting a little off ever since Dean had spilled the beans about her nearly killing herself following Chuck's death in that weird trippy future, and now...he was drunk. Again. But it might be because of a vision...that he wasn't getting very many details of, which she'd learned was never a good thing. His concern for her also made her take pause, slightly, because it was just so....different. In the past, when her mom hadn't been around, she had only had to worry about herself. Now, though, there was this whole other person that she had to think about when she made decisions, and it was just...strange.

She closed her eyes for a moment to focus herself, then followed the rest of the group towards the door as they reopened. She'd volunteered to take the back of the line, because Jo knew that Dean probably wanted to be in the front so he could try and confront the demon, and she was fine with that. He, as everyone pointed out, had more demon knowledge than her. Her eyes were on the street itself as she moved in behind Dean, Jacen, Rose, and the other woman, Tonks she thought her name was, gun ready to fire on anyone who might try to block their escape. She'd take care of everyone's backs, for now.

This was what she was used to - fighting, having a team and a plan in mind and her brother’s mind linked to her own... and okay, he felt kind of different than she was used to, but he was still Jacen, familiar enough to help her ignore all the ways that this was actually nothing at all like what she was used to. The missions she’d been on had never involved demons... although she wasn’t entirely sure if they were better or worse than the Vong.

She shoved that thought and the associated memories away, clearing the connection with her brother so nothing would really be a distraction. Her lingering frustration with Gabriel was pushed back, too - his refusal to help them, even though he’d have been able to properly kill the demon instead of just send it away, kind of stung; she’d expected better. And she really pointedly wasn’t thinking about how maybe Jacen was right not to trust him....

Yeah, not thinking about any of that.

Jacen’s signal that he was moving in had her turning to look towards Sam and the rest of his team, nodding in her own unspoken signal that it was time. Her lightsaber was in her hand, and she lit the blade as she raised a hand, a quick Force-push sending the door flying open so everyone could rush inside.

Ron found the invisibility cloak to be unusually spacious when he wrapped it around his body. Wearing it without Harry or Hermione on either side of him was an unusual task, one that made Ron feel sort of like he wasn't using the cloak properly at all. He was, but it felt odd. There were pieces missing. It was too roomy, it didn't take much difficulty for Ron to shuffle about, and he didn't have to pointedly remind himself to keep his voice low because he didn't have anyone there to talk to. Harry and Hermione were gone. This time, it was just him, and that was because some demonic git had decided to take them away.

Like hell, Ron thought heatedly. Harry had only just gotten here. After over a year of being away from his best mate, Ron had finally gotten him back again. To have the bond of two friends as close as they were pushed together only to be severed again in an instant didn't seem all that right to Ron. In fact, it bloody well pissed him off. To further Ron's annoyance on that front, the only reason that Harry was missing was because his best mate was indeed a complete and total idiot. And because life in itself truly was a cruel, cold, bastard of a thing: Harry had only up and chosen to act like the foolish hero that he was because of Hermione. Because that ugly, yellow-eyed, demonic thing had abducted her. And where did all that lead back to? Adam. Hermione's little boyfriend. The one with the family who always got tangled up with those demon types, constantly got in harms way, and generally ended up here, with the people they loved the most at risk. Ron wanted to blame him. He wanted to, more than anything else in the world, point fingers, yell, and hex Adam Milligan to high hell and back. This was his fault and if Ron hadn't been so bent on focusing on rescuing his friends, he probably wouldn't have been so keen on keeping the peace.

It wouldn't last. Not if Hermione and Harry weren't in proper shape when he found them.

Hair falling into his eyes, Ron quietly crept into the building that Hermione's patronus had led them to. Concealed by Harry's cloak, Ron remained invisible. Nothing and no one could see him, which was exactly what they'd all been aiming for. Ron could walk right up to the Yellow-Eyed demon, do a little jig right in his face underneath the cloak, and the demon wouldn't know any better. Ron didn't plan on doing any dancing in front of him as of yet though - no, he'd save that for when the demon was good and dead. Wand gripped tightly between his fingers, the wizard moved carefully, seeking out the demon had abducted Harry and Hermione. His job was to distract him until the others cleared their way in. Cast a few spells, run around without being seen - it'd be simple enough, so long as Ron was quick, careful, and remembered to keep tabs on his temper.

Unfortunately, he couldn't make any promises on the latter half. Not when it was Harry and Hermione on the line.

Harry wasn't in good shape to say the least. One of his eyes was almost swollen shut, all the fingers in his right hands were crushed to bone dust, and he was pretty sure if he tried walking, he would just keel over again. He was in a sorry shape and it hurt to even think. But he pushed past the pain, thinking as hard as he could on his escape plan to keep himself from blacking out again. He had been in pain before, he had been hexed, bruised, and cut. He had lived with the pain of his scare for a lifetime. But this...well, this was torture beyond anything he had ever been through before. He had been able to make relatively fast escapes before.

Not this time.

His original plan was that when he had reached the address that Azazel had given him, he would wait until he was with Hermione, grab her, and then Apparate out of there. It had been simple. Yet, everything had gone wrong from the get go because Azazel hadn't brought Hermione along. So he let himself be taken instead of Apparating out of there. What choice did he have? He couldn't risk Hermione dying because of him. He had wanted to bring along Ron. He had every intention of bringing along Ron. Except Harry didn't know how demons worked. He didn't know if they could sense if he was lying or if he somehow broke his word. It was another risk. He couldn't take Ron with him.

Which was the only thing that was giving him any peace of mind. At least Ron was safe. The thought comforted Harry a little, it helped him push past the pain, but then he would remember Hermione was still here and that Azazel was still not ready to let her go. So he worked on his plan, which basically consisted of trying to will himself strong enough to Apparate. Apparate, find Hermione, and Apparate out with her. He already had a good idea of where she was and the only thing left for him to do was gather his strength. Which was really, really hard when you hurt all over.
